The only places I see the words, "Martial Law" mentioned on the web are sites such as: Beforeitsnews, usahitman, prison planet, silverdoctors, etc. etc. I think it's easy to figure out from these sites. I cannot find any mainsteam media sources reporting it, and I don't live too far from the shore and my local and state papers have not mentioned these two words.

Martial Law just means there is no police force the military has taken over their jobs. That's why martial law exists for scenarios like this when alot of people need help.

Ignorant people that don't understand what Martial Law is and people less intelligent than they are that parrot it. The same people that were screaming "Seal Team 6" killed Bin Laden, Seal team six was dissolved in the 80's and replaced by NavSpecWarDevGru.

The thing that is scary to me is how willing people are to argue over something that they have no 1st hand knowledge of because they saw a story online.

Agreed, make the lie big enough it becomes true for most people, i am just wondering what is the point of scaring people like that, so many links even in google search that keep saying martial law was declared in that region, weird to say the least.

It gets hits online, ad revenue... There are no reputable sources cited in the story, only alternative news websites like freerepublic, beforeitsnews, infowars. Some people sell doom porn, look at Alex Jones.
