I am here in Anahuac, Texas visiting my parents during my vacation. The town is rather small and very quiet and its very dark when its night.
About ten minutes ago I went outside to have a cigarette when my Mother asked me if it was raining. I told her noth that I was aware of. There was
supposed to be rain today and we saw some dark clouds but nothing happened. As I reached outside I lit my cigarette and suddenly began to hear what I
thought was thunder, a low rumbling. After a moment or two I realized that this was not normal thunder. It was very rhythmic and in a short amount of
time I could figure out the pattern, almost like drum beats but loud enough that it sounded like thunder. It was obviously coming from the sky, not
I ran back inside and told my Mother to come out and hear it. She then told me this is why she thought it was raining. We went outside and we heard it
for maybe 30 seconds or so until it completely stopped. We both looked at each other wondering what the hell we just heard. There was no lightning at
all, in fact the sky is pretty much clear except for a few patches of clouds here and there.
I am prepared in case I hear it again and will see if I can record it. I know with all the "earth moans" or whatever they are going around the world
I am concerned about what we just heard. I asked my Dad who is in the back room if he had heard anything but he didn't.
Has anyone else heard something like this?
