They say that life is a special thing.
Little did I know what that really means.
In all the universe galaxies and stars.
Boy, you have no idea how special you are.

The beginning of life is a joy to behold,
I look in your eyes and see something grand.
You looked back at me and my heart you stole,
Now I have no doubt that I understand life's plan.

Your breath on my neck as you drift of to sleep.
I feel your heartbeat so soft I almost weep.
As you grow I know it will beat like a lion
and the world will know your name, Orion.

Dedicated to and inspired by my son,

As a parent... this poem really hits home. Great wording and very good use of prose, This is a short but sweet poem about something invaluable in every way. S+F

Thanks, although in the CTPWC there is supposed to be loss or heartache, which I do feel as he lives two hours away I just couldn't express it literally, sounded cheap when I wrote it in ...

I was actually going to delete it after I posted, for that reason but I will leave it for others to enjoy.
