It's rather disingenuous to say this is from the NY Times. It is from the NY Time's Op-Ed section. The Op-Ed section has columns and editorials by establishment tools like Thomas Friedman and right-wing neo-cons like William Kristol, so it is false to suggest the NY Times as an organization is saying this about Romney; rather, it is one individual writing his opinion. There's a big difference.

Just to be clear, what website would I go to to read this? Who published it?

The New York Times isn't a person and is as responsible for it's opinion pieces as it is it's reporting.

I have no bone to pick with either Obama or Romney. I believe both political organizations are dishonest and I believe that both want the key to the hen house. At my age, of near ninety, and having voted independent since Truman, I have seen nothing to convince me that either party will ever bring fairness to this Republic.

I understand your passion and hope because at one time I also had that same passion and hope but I think most people look at the same thing differently among themselves. Romney nor the Romney group stated that US jobs were being moved from one place to another. What he did say was that the Jeep division was sold to the Italians who in turn were going to farm the work out to China. In essence that will cut some American jobs. That is being considered but has not happened as yet. In other words the jobs were not to be moved but were to be created in China. Now you can spin this any way you care to spin it but it is not the complete truth the way that you stated it.

Also you are not totally honest even with yourself. Some of Obama's green jobs have have also been in foreign countries with very little (or no) publicity. Ford and Chrysler both have foreign manufactures as well as parts being manufactured by assortment of foreign nations. It is a complex world that we live in and one size shoe is never going to fit every foot.

As a small business owner (some years back) I had my product manufactured in Japan. The reason for this was that I could not find American manufactures to meet my standards. I tried almost every major machine co in the Midwest and finally gave up trying. I was even willing to pay the forty percent increase in manufacturing costs simply to bring my product home. You might wonder why I was in Japan in the first place. The answer to that was that I had purchased the Co while it was based in Japan.

I have now retired and my son has control of the firm. He is also trying to bring the firm home but has the same problems that I had some years ago. The very same problems exist today as have existed years ago for small businesses. Nothing has really changed and in fact have grown worse for the mom and pop businesses. The country has lost much of its labor skill such as machine work. We are no longer leaders in science and math and are ranked as 25th in the world. Does that look to you as though any of our leaders are really on top of this thing?

We have become a nation of outsourcing as well as a drugged and crime ridden society. Don't simply look at a political organization to feed and cloth you because after you are old, no one really cares about you anymore. Your best insurance in life is to build your own life with building your brain. Your mind is your future and your insurance policy. After Obama and Romney, then what? What will you do then? They will never make you wealthy nor are they interested in making you wealthy. They wind up with the money and you will go on and on year after year in your pretend world.

Let me just add to what this Man of Wisdom has just said. The Government is not your Mommy, not your Nanny, not RESPONSIBLE for taking care of you in any way shape form or fashion. If you are relying on them for that, you are better off served giving up your US Citizenship and moving to a country that has Socialism already in place or a dictator because that is where this train is heading if we don't derail the engine leading the train right now. You don't embrace your FREEDOMS guaranteed and protected by the US Constitution, Bill of Rights and the US Military. You cry foul in a political war that rages on between two idiologies that neither have your best interests at heart. If Romney wins, I hope he has the courage and sense to abandon the NAFTA/GATT treaty and bring our Manufacturing base back home. That is the ONLY thing that will surely save this country and generations to come. The only thing we have now is HOPE ! Hope that he truly wants America strong again.

The founding fathers believed in public education by and large, they also believed in the military; they believed in the governement protecting citizenry from itself through the police, but also believed that a stable, educated, safe population would benefit America. The insane vision you have for America is not based on history is sounds more like anarchism than America.

And in other news, the sky is blue!! Seriously he is a politician, of course he is dishonest and duplicitous! I wouldn't expect anything less from a politician. Actually.... Obama never had the title... Bush still holds on to that title and wears it like a badge of honor.

All right!! Now that Obama has been Re-elected we just have to win for the looney toons to calm down and lets get back to work. Yes, I voted for Obama the first time (Because I will not give Sarah Palin a chance of being President) and again this time (Because I still think Mitt Romney is a psychopath). The election is over American voted in their President. That's it. The sky isn't falling and the world isn't going to end.

American became stronger the minute Bush got out of office. I find it comical when I read people's comments that Obama is somehow the Anti-Christ or that he hates Christianity while people were seriously going to vote for a Mormon as President. It makes no sense what so ever. Mitt Romney was at best a villain from the classic children's show Captain Planet. The guy lied and flipped on ever position there is to take. Well, I'm here to say, America has CHANGED. That old 1950's way of thinking and so called morals are out of the door. Its time this country started being EQUAL for everyone. Gay, straight, crazy, blue, or whatever. A woman should have the right to do with her body what she wants and shouldn't have to ask the American Taliban for an abortion. America spoke and we like Obama, so we will keep Obama. If you don't like it, you have four years to find someone else for the job. Other than that live, love, and enjoy the scenery.
