And now, the CIA, the agency that was actually there and responded has released a timeline of what happened during the attack which has blown the Right Wing fan faction out of the water. There was no "Stand Down" order, the two ex-Navy Seals didn't go in guns blazing on their own against orders, there were more than just the two of them that responded (there goes the Rambo fan fiction of 2 vs hundreds), the drone wasn't pre-dispatched to that area, one of the ex-Navy Seals came from Tripoli, and the two that died didn't die trying to defend the Consulate, they died back at the CIA safe house trying to defend that.

And after all that, all you have from the Benghaziers is, "That's a lie". LIKE THE FREAKING KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED.

I'm sorry, but I have nothing else to say to Benghaziers anymore, they have carved out a new sub-species of Conspiracy Theorist who will be sneered at just like Birthers.

Here's the thing with this story, and the birther story: that no straight answer was forthcoming in a reasonable amount of time. It has every appearance of time being taken to see if it would blow over, then concocting a story.

Not that I am a birther. Only that their point, about why it wasn't forthcoming in a reasonable amount of time, is wholly valid and yet to be answered.

In essence, to demand answers in a timely fashion is how you keep that particular sleight of hand from occuring.

The reason the CIA didn't 'speak up' sooner is because they didn't want to release any information about their operations and logistics in Benghazi, in case that information could wind up being used against them by enemies. Of course it seems they've caved due to pressure from Fox News, who are currently getting away with pushing dangerous hearsay..

And since this isn't a birther thread, I'll refrain from tackling that non-issue as well.

LOL...but the REAL question...is "What does Obama's Freshman year transcript say!!"

Actually I thought it was because of a spontaneous protest. Oh wait no, well I think the strategy the administration and all other relevant departments of government is is to give out as many different and conflicting answers as possible to the point where if you went from person to person on the street and asked them what happened and why it happened you would get as many different answers as people you ask. Its called smoke screening and disinformation. The fact is that our ambassadors and other government empoyees were sitting ducks in one of the most hostile terrorist countries on the globe and there is no acceptable explanation as to why they were so undermanned and why no one tried to rescue them when the shi... was hitting the fan.

My personal favorite was when Newt Gingrich said that an unnamed source told him that another unnamed source got unnamed documents from a third unnamed source that contained unspecified information about an unknown order of some kind made by a fourth unnamed party...which apparently was somehow bad for Obama in an unspecified way.

Actually...I might disagree with you on that slightly. I don't know that we can call the Benghaziers "theorists" of any kind. At least the Birther "theory" DOES have the defined parameter of alleging that Obama is citizen of Kenya and/or a Muslim operative despite a wealth of verifiable evidence to the contrary.

I'm not sure the Benghaziers ever really formed what could be called a "theory" other than some vague notion that America is "good". Seriously...it was all over the map everywhere from Obama allegedly issuing the "stand down" order that nobody has any evidence of, to Hillary Clinton ordering a predator drone strike for no apparent reason or gain, to it being a satanic sacrificial blood-rite of some kind.

Just a big ball of garbled incoherency that I more or less translated as a tacit admission and dawning realization that their buddy Romney screwed the pooch and is going to lose the election soundly...even WITH good ol' Tagg buying into those voting machines.

They asked for the transcript where the hearings talked about a specific "ORDER", maybe you should go re-read the post.

There is nothing in those hearings about any "order", and the only "order" that has been talked about is the "Stand Down" order that was never given. Two teams responded to the attack, they weren't told to stand down, they were told to respond and they did.

I know you desperately want this to be some grand conspiracy, but the facts prove otherwise.

Its seems apparent that there was no protest and White house Officials have already acknowledged this however only after letting the media run rabid for weeks with the story of a protest over a movie nobody even knew about. But you have raised an interesting question. What was the motive of the attackers?? Still havent even heard a reasonable hypothesis from our government. Maybe that is where the real story lies. no pun intended.

The cia doesn't give out info often or on the publics time line you would be amazed how much info can be gleaned from a simple statement if not sanitized to the nines. Faux news is not a reliable news source in court they claimed they are entertainment with some news. I can't believe I'm saying this the cia is believable on this one.

Pretty amazing how hard it is to get a hold of transcripts from Congressional hearings. Nothing shows up on the GPO site -- so much for transparency in an important event right (that jab is at all of them up on the Hill).
