Scanner doesn't just refer to the newer scanners. It is also used to refer to the normal metal detectors at the checkpoint.

I feel bad for the TSA workers in the company PR shot. I'm sure they were ordered to do it just so we the public could get a good picture of how diverse and friendly they are. None of them did the deed, now they have to be all over the internets because there's no mug shot of bad guy and god forbid the public get a story without the pretty pictures.

The TSA needs to do one of the following:

Invest in better background screening.
Invest in better PR.

My choice of course - the former.

Personally, I believe the government should step back, A LOT. The TSA is out of control. Before long you will have to agree to a cavity search to fly. It's dumb.

Jeeze ,everybody here wants a fair go for the average Joe , but as soon as someone is accused of something you all jump on him like he has been convicted what happened to innocent until proven guilty ?
In this economy any job you can get is a good job so stop all the hate for the TSA people , they are just trying to make ends meet .
