FROM AMADEUS
First off, RyanP5555-------------
This is hardly a QUICK question at all
(and if it was meant to be it shouldn’t be).
Neither should it be a TRICK question either, in my opinion.
And I do not, by the way, tend to favour any one religion or philosophy in my posts---only to discard it in other posts. It may seem so in some
cases, but if you read carefully, you can see that I am quite an equal opportunity debunker and for good reason: everywhere I look I see Hypocrisy and
Arbitrariness and Contradiction, especially on threads which discuss “religious morality”, which a classic Oxymoron if there ever was one.
If you’ve noticed from my posts, I tend to “pick holes” in many of the weaker ATS “religious-threaded-arguments” (more often than not with
Judeo-Christian religious fundamentalists who believe every word of texts they can’t even read) rather than offer them a “replacement religion of my
own..”
I also tend to shy away from organized religion in general (they have a tendency to corrupt their own clergy and practically turn them into bankers,
and it has been that way from the beginning from primitive times) :
Nor do I belong to any organized religious affiliation—although I often attend services of different organized faiths to watch the effect ritual has
on the masses in the audience, which are varied reactions. .
One could say I am a “sole practitioner”, and tend to avoid “group think” which is generally built on some kind of mythology.
I hold there is a fundamental difference between “religion” and “spirituality”.
The former I reject: the latter I support---but I have no intention of detailing exactly what I mean in every particular. My answer would be even
longer than my posts, which as everyone knows tend to be “wordy” enough…
Having said that, it might be a little easier for you to understand a little about what I DO believe if I first list “WHAT I DO NOT BELIEVE…”
A sort of AMADEUS ANTI-CREDO, if you will.
Here’s a sampling for you to chew on for a while. You can sort of intuit what I DO believe by reading the things I reject:
I DO NOT BELIEVE in barbarous genocidal Middle Eastern clan gods with xenophobic priests spouting vomit from their supposedly ancient Torahs tell
followers to go out and exterminate Amalekites and genocide Jebusites so that some other supposedly “favoured group” can steal their farmland.
If Adolf Hitler was an insane monster, then the racist clan-god of the Israelites (still being worshipped today e.g. “the god of the Jews”) is an even
worse insane monster, and I will have nothing to do with either group:
NB: Reflect on this:
These two violent groups BOTH called their own respective people “the Master Race” or the “Chosen People” which represents an unacceptable racist
language and Weltanschauung, whose Grotesque Intolerance of Difference has ABSOLUTELY no place in the 21st century—especially when there are so many
unaccounted for nuclear weapons floating around.
I DO NOT BELIEVE in ancient Galilean Daviddic-Pretenders who arm their disciples with swords on hills and cut people’s ears off during Passovers,
desperately praying in vain to Israelite warrior clan gods for 12 Legions of Angelic Warriors to swoop down and slay the GOYIM with the “breath of his
mouth”…
NOR to I BELIEVE that by engaging in Weekly Dogmatic Cannabalistic Rituals e.g. the Drinking the Blood or Eating the Flesh of Dead Naked Daviddic
Rebbes, [symbolic or not] especially ones who ended up swinging from ancient Roman Gibbets for Seditious Acts against the State will bring me any
closer to “salvation”.
I DO NOT BELIEVE that any single group on this planet can claim to have in their possession in writing “the INFALLABLE WORD OF GOD” which must be
obeyed “literally”---which is essentially a meaningless statement in the absence of a single text-- especially among “Jews” and “Christians” who by
the way, have NO SINGLE VERSION OF ANY ONE SUPPOSEDLY HOLY TEXT to refer to, but rather merely possess jumbled heaps of contradictory
manuscripts---“the lying pen of the scribes” as one prophet was said to have put it so succinctly.
I DO NOT BELIEVE that modern Cro-Magnon female terran humans were “created out of primordial ribs” of primordial mud-men, NOR DO I BELIEVE in
walking-talking snakes (who have to be cursed by clan gods before they start “crawling on their bellies”) nor literally in magical trees bearing
magical fruit in magical gardens guarded by magical seraphim.
I DO NOT BELIEVE in terms like “Orthordoxy” or “Heresy” or endless lists of Superstitious Ritual Taboos : both are unnaturally “man made” US v. THEM
concepts and more dependant on geography than morality.
Most seem to have been promulgated over time "by those in Power" to keep some sort of invisible mechanism "control" over the profanum vulgus and
at the same time line their own pockets---nowadays in America, with untraceable amounts of tax free dollar$.
7. I DO NOT BELIEVE in blind faith of any kind or being led by non tax- paying demagogues who stand on pulpits and tell congregations of sheep that
“God” hates shellfish and cotton with linen worn in the same garment, and yet approves of "sacred books" with laws in them that tacitly condone
slavery or wife beating and order people to stone to death their own children who talk back to them on a non school night.
8. I DO NOT BELIEVE that hideous plagues are sent by clan gods (who tolerates slavery and wife beating) to specific human beings merely because they
disobeyed some obscure ritual taboo
9. I DO NOT BELIEVE IN ORGANIZED RELIGION, which is nothing more than ORGANIZED HATE.
NOW FOR....WHAT AMADEUS DOES BELIEVE
I’ll keep it short and simple :
I hold to the “belief” that ENERGY IS SOMETHING THAT CANNOT BE CREATED OR DESTROYED, only “transformed”.
You can extract a belief in “life after death” if you like from that statement.
I hold to the “belief that ALL LIFE IS INTER-CONNECTED throughout ALL the MULTI-VERSES: or as the ancient Hindu Vedas put it:
TAT TVAM ASI (“you are that”)
The “sudden realization of the essential underlying Unity of All things” is the inner core of all true Spirituality and the fact that it is sometimes
hinted at in many non-Judeo-Christian traditions is no bar for me to accept it as true and valid.
It has nothing to do with offering tedious blood sacrifices to thirsty desert clan gods, or obeying the superstitious Taboo restrictions of Torah Laws
or even getting down on your knees to Drink Dead Rebbe Blood.
If you knew this fundamental spiritual principle, you would not rape. You would not steal. You would not lie. You would not murder. You would not
covet. In fact, it would not even enter your head to harm any living creature much less divide the whole planet into groups of US v. THEM---
You would not spend your vital energies making dainty distinctions between “Jew and Goyim”, “Chosen and Heathen”, “Ritually Clean and Ritually
Toq’ebah” “Muslim and Infidel” “Chinese and Non-Chinese” “American and Foreign” “Straight and Gay” “Male and Female”, “Terran and Alien”
“African-American and Anglo-American”…and so forth.
You would not be walking around with self-appointed labels like “Dr. Rabbi Baruch Goldstein” and memorise versions of so-called Torahs of Moses then
proceed to open fire with automatic weapons in Hebron Mosques killing 29 Palestinians on Fridays--while screaming our verses in Broken Hebrew from the
prophet Hezekiel chapters 8 and 9 and the Torah: e.g. Deuteronomy chapter 13 and chapter 20...
You would respect the rights of others because YOU would be understood to be—underneath---exactly the SAME as OTHERS.
You would have no need of contradictory texts of Bibles and Torahs forever telling you what to think and when and where and how.
And you would not have to wait for any “Glorious Kingdom of David ” to arrive externally from some imaginary Zionist Heaven in some imaginary Zionist
Future.
None of this is even HALF of what AMADEUS believes (and doesn't believe), but it should be enough for you to chew on for now.
