This is a very good subject, one worth discussing thoroughly.
Everyone attached to this "system" have allowed themselves to do so.
It is never a choice, it's always an excuse...but the fact remains clear.
People choose to rely on others for their luxuries.
It's convenient, easy and they can spend more time as a consumer.
We most definitely need to learn to live off the grid...
This grid will not be around forever!
If in any given time, someone spent more money on unnecessary items rather than stock of food.
Wasted money or time buying into their "consumerism" instead of learning to grow food...
Wasting life away staring at a television instead of learning how to live without electricity...
The same would go for basic survival skills and mindsets.
These skills are extremely important and should not be taken for granted.
But they are everyday by a large amount of people.
All these things are not hard to learn or become good at.
But people must feel these skills are important.
For some reason we lost the necessity of survival a long time ago.
These days, people are more worried about the holidays, shopping or entertainment.
It could be considered "dumbing down" or a "plan".
Because if you look around, it is rampant.
Passed down from generations of apathy.
People haven't needed to survive in years.
It's a time of plenty, not a time of starvation.
But the "Great Culling" is near.
My problem with society in general...
People just don't know what to do when the power goes out.
They panic when their computer freezes.
Or if the television won't turn on.
These same people are directly to blame.
For they have wasted time on meaningless things.
Instead of gaining back what we have lost over the years.
