I Side With (Poll)

Wow, I guess I really did want to vote for Romney afer all.

I side with Mitt Romney on most issues in the 2012 Presidential Election

Romney 90%
Good 82%
Johnson 77%
Obama 67%
PA voters 44%
American voters 49%

Some of those optional answers were really thought provoking and pretty much each question had an appropriate 3rd or 4th option that matched me perfectly.

Why can't our voting system be set up like this instead of using the bought out media?

Take a little test, match people up, then show them which candidate is more their style.

or a surprisingly well balanced youngster... nothing worse than someone who pins all there ideology onto the precepts of one or two opinions on things in life, ie some one who agrees with republicans on X and so adopts tenants W,Y,Z etc of the party as well simply because they think you have to be strictly one or the other even if deep down they might not agree with them in truth.

Maybe you are right! I think on one hand maybe I was wishy washy and on the other reasonable and open to solutions rather than parties. I guess that's why I registered as independent at 18.

My quiz results said I agree 91% with Johnson the Libertarian. Had no idea that I did. I think of libertarianism and the first thing that comes to mind is drug legalization (not a fan - but we need 1000x focus on treatment rather than prosecution).

Also 80% on Romney - yet I couldn't vote for him based on his FoPo stances alone. So take the numbers with a grain of salt!! I weighted my foreign policies as MOST important and this thing still thinks I would like to vote for him.

Not a chance. Not Obama either.

People should not look at this as a poll, but rather a self reflection on where they stand on the issues..

I clicked on many of the states (The battleground and red) and Barak Obama kept coming up as the most favored. Quite heavily in some cases. Even Texas.

That was one of the BEST polls I have ever seen, online or offline BECAUSE:

The few "set answers" don't normally fit into any of my opinions and this poll you could choose an "otherish" sort of choice and select from even FURTHER refined options. That's UNIQUE and should be incorporated into ALL polls.

Unfortunately, it paired me with somebody I know nothing about except that I avoid their party completely because of STRONG personal experience with an issue they are highly involved in.

It's STILL a G-R-E-A-T poll though. Thank you.

I'm voting for Johnson even though I agree more with Jill Stein... simply because I believe that Johnson could erase some of the divide between the Left, Center and Right. Jill would divide us more, not to mention would be met with greater oppositional defiance than even Obama has been. Johnson will also get more voters, it's a bigger shout out against the two party system, IMO. Obama will win my State regardless but I hope there's enough of us out there to be a thorn in the side of the paradigm.

Its odd, but looking at this again this morning and seeing the way they pair up your closest party leader with the various areas of policy made me think of an old idea I sometimes have around these types of events. Wouldnt it be great if rather than vote for a party you vote for an individual or that person and their team for the various control of offices. ie you voted for who you wanted in control for Social Development, Economy, Foreign Policy and Immigration etc independent of party affiliation.

No party system just who ever gets the most votes for the job in question gets the job of running that aspect of government with as much autonomy as possible from other ministerials departments (ie if the republicans got the economics portfolio they would have to be very justified in denying say the greens funding in areas of environment, might need a special impartial unbiased body for settling such disputes).

Unfortunately people would have to be alot more politically aware and humans are lazy in that regard... which is something you should never be given your giving these people the reigns to lord over you.

Kinda the same way ive always wished those elected to an office or portfolio must have held a job relevant within that area at some point in their lives, ie Only a teacher could run for the Education portfolio.
