Once again, what does this even have to do with gay rights? Do lesbians go in to the men's locker room to change? I doubt it. Do homosexual men go into the women's locker room to change? I doubt it. This story is different in the case because the guy in this case who identifies himself as a woman, went into the women's locker room, got naked, and is evidently physically not a woman. That is the issue here, not gay rights.

I was only using gay rights as an example of something society needs to improve on. I do think that gay rights is an issue that might see improvement if society evolves its views about sex, gender, etc.

I could have been clearer about this, but to be intentionally ignorant of the fact that all of these issues have common ground is simply short sighted.

I made a mistake in trying to expand the conversation--I forgot that ATS has become one gigantic pissing contest. I am no better either--I participate in it too.

I don't think the average woman cares enough about his comfort zone to overlook that penis in the shower room.

A grown man should be willing/able to handle a little embarrassment in the men's room as opposed to embarrassing little girls in the women's.

He's a poor excuse of an adult and knows nothing about being a woman. It would take one scummy woman to intentionally embarrass a child in that way.

I don't see why he would feel uncomfortable in a male shower room
...there are many

men these days who have moobs ( i beleive thats what they are called) and he has a penis

like all of them

HOWEVER

In the female shower room... being the ONLY one with a penis...now that SHOULD make

him feel uncomfortable?

I am all about transgender rights and what not.. But this tranny used some extremely bad judgement, and does not speak or stand for the majority of T-girls. (as this has nothing to do with gay rights, but common sense.)

Until you have SRS, sexual reassignment surgery, you are technically still just a tranny.. No matter how you want to spin it. Trannies they are guys with boobs. Until having SRS. And that is the just the truth to the matter. And I have plenty of room to speak on this topic. I stand for many rights, and tolerance.

But when a Tranny exposes themselves to young girls, that is WRONG! And should have been asked to leave the locker room.. Sorry but that is the cold hard truth. This "woman" should have known better, and should have taken measures not to expose her penis to any child.

That is what this boils down to.. Exposing naked parts to children. I do not care if you are transsexual, female, or male. Children should not be exposed to strangers private parts.
A parents choice to be naked around their kids is one thing.. But for a total stranger to walk around like she is just another one of the girls, is a poor choice, and DOES not speak for the transsexual community at large.

90% of all T-girls would have the good sense to know what is wrong and what is right.
When kids are around, you take it else where. Or you take measures to ensure you are not being exposed.

This Transsexual is just dumb, and used poor judgement, and I personally side with those who feel this is wrong.
And normally I am all about defending T-girls, and gay rights.. But wrong is wrong.
And its not cool, and does not do other T-girls any favors by acting the way this person did..

Sometimes I just wanna slap these dumb trannies. Use some common sense for goods sake.. Not everyone wants to see that.. Nor does everyone have to tolerate that.

In the end.. People do not need to understand T-girls, but just learn how to accept in our lives.. But when a person does this.. they are no better than a flasher in my honest opinion. Adults are one thing.. And adults can handle these kinds of things much better. But I am pissed off that this Tranny would expose that to a child.

Makes others look bad, and makes it harder for others to realize, that its a fact of common sense.
And a sense of being decent and respectful of others.

See, T-girls want tolerance.. but its a two way street here.. And the more we move on in life.. T-girls are going to have to be more tolerant, and less "in your face" about them being a girl.

Sure they may look like a chick, but that does not mean they have female parts.. Hence in reality, they are Trannies, until SRS, and then they can claim to be a woman.

Sorry if I offended any of my friends with this... But I feel I have plenty of room to talk here.. when I make it a point to defend gay rights, and transsexual.. But this time.. I will not defend someone who was being a total idiot, and out of place. (as I stated before, this is about wrong and right, not gay rights.) No one has the right to expose their genitals to any child!
NO exposing yourself in front of kids! For gods sakes, what was that person thinking? Dumb dumb dumb..

I know, it makes no sense to me either.

Gender aside he needs to act like a responsible adult. Showing a little respect/discretion, especially around other people's children is something adults typically do.

Flashing little girls in locker rooms because you feel you have that right is arrogant/disrespectful and sick.

I'm a woman. If for some hypothetical reason, say...tomorrow, I had to have a the male appendage sewn onto my body; I would start dressing behind the curtain or in the stall. Now I'm trying to image what my life would be like if it happened day one. Hmm, not an easy thing to think about...

I opened this thread yesterday and read the OP, and and a few comments. I didn't read any articles or watch any videos. I thought...Eh, this isn't going anywhere; what could there possibly be to argue about?

Apparently, there's almost 20 pages worth

I'm going to go back and read more, but; I don't foresee anyone changing my opinion on this...We will see.

Go back and read. It helps to actually read threads before commenting.

I can sum it up for you though..some perv thinks it's okay to go claim he's "transgendered" and go showing his willy around in a female locker room. Then acts surprised when said females are offended because guess what? He has a penis! And there were children around. Then he goes and compares what he did to calling the police about sharing water fountains. That about sums it up.

I suppose 'she' should also be allowed to compete in womens boxing?, Olympics anyone?

Better yet, why give up all of those girls rights just for one confused individual, Can't he make up his mind? Using the term Bisexual does not make one female.

If I had a daughter in College I would. One thing leads to another, if he gets rights there sooner or later people will be doing this throughout the country. Wouldn't you expect the rape percentage to increase? Only looking at the small picture.."Those are not my kids, why should I care??"

I am hoping that the end of the Obama Administration will spell the beginning of the end of this sickness that has been trying so hard from every direction to engulf our country.

Yes, because Obama singlehandedly created the entire transgender community.
Before Obama, it was the 1950s where there wasn't even gay people, much less cross dressers.

Funny thing is, if you look at how I am responding in this thread, you and I are in general agreement on the core issue here.
You just seem to have a lot of pent up fear about gay people or oversexual gay people, whatever..some sort of hang ups.
I have no such hang ups. Nobody on earth could convince me to be gay. I simply am not. If I was gay, I would feel comfortable to come out I guess, but not gay. I don't feel threatened that someone could alter me, nor any of my family. Its a brain function..a biological thing seen in nature..you either are or aren't.

Which is why I am quite curious about people whom are unnerved about anything gay or the like...do they feel they could be "talked into" being gay? Do you feel that way?

I don't think you do. I think you are simply repeating recordings by others whom fear being called out. That is the thing that annoys me, the recordings people carry around from others to speak for them..but if they give a bit of introspection, they may find that they aren't overly concerned about seeing something they don't like on a biological level. Hell, I have seen anchovi's on pizza (disgusting). That doesn't make me suddenly freak out, or start wondering if I should start eating the horrible fish. Seeing a gay couple holding hands or something is about the same to me..not for me, and doesn't make me want to suddenly find some dude to hold hands with...totally indifferent so long as it doesn't enter into my little sphere.

So, what is your true anger here? Don't just snap back..but really take a moment to consider this...drop the Obama ruined your life, because I suspect this attitude didn't just spring up 4 years ago...find where the recording is coming from..identify it..and ask yourself why its so relevant to your life that you must hit play during key moments.

Or not...up to you.
btw, if you were in the military, thanks for the service. I do give props to our warriors..moreso for specops mind you (anyone can be a soldier). Didn't want to think I was slamming your service with my last comment...but I always slam people demanding fear over the internet as a way to debate a topic. Muscles mean little in a battle of wits. As a soldier, you know to use the proper tools on a battlefield. The battlefield here is the internet. The tool then must be thoughtful articulation verses chest puffing at your monitor

I am noting a tad bit of heterocentrism in your tone.

Heterocentrism leads to heterosexism, which in turn leads to homophobia. You are just two steps away from being a full blown gay hater.

Heterocentrism is, if you aren't aware, believing you are "straight" as if you couldn't summon homosexual feelings.

Anyone who knows themselves, or have experimented with imagination and fantasy, knows how plastic, or malleable, our sexual-emotional constitution is.

If you simply aimed for attraction for men, you would experience sexual feelings. But since you arrogantly insist that you are 'straight', you are putting people into fixed little boxes of 'straight' and 'gay'. As if people couldn't be both.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Some can be. bisexuality is pretty common.
I am simply not attracted to anything male outside of myself.
I don't mind other men mind you..good friends and whatnot. I did consider men for about a whole 10 seconds once and it sort of brought a alien feeling in me..not pleasant..but the same feeling I think of when considering stabbing myself in the foot..not something I want to try..

I am simply straight. a gay person is simply gay. they say they are not attracted to females, I am not going to start going too philosophical or psychological about the statement, I accept it. If that is hating, then very well.

I could be 3 steps away from being homophobic, but I am zero steps away from being simply an accepting man..I am comfortable with that.

That's simply not possible. All humans possess the ability to be attracted to either sex. Your insistence otherwise is heterocentric. It is simply blithely saying "oh, I don't feel that way", in such an insistent way that t sounds like you might harbor an actual aversion to the thought. Have you ever watched gay porn?? If you were left in a room for 4 days with nothing but gay porn to watch, you would begin developing feelings. Trust me. Or rather, as the oracle of delphi said "know thyself". Know that you can do it too! It's in you to like more than your own physical anatomy. You can like other men's as well!

I am simply straight. a gay person is simply gay

Those are such conditioned views! A gay men may have a propensity towards attraction to males, but he could if he too used active imagination, develop heterosexual feelings. You too, if you simply got over this deeply ingrained prejudice towards heterosexuality, find in yourself a lustful desire for cock-a-doodle doos.
