I'm selling my trailer in the spring and building a 14x20 cabin . I want to be totally off grid ( I have no choice , there's no service where I am ! ) I want the lighting to be LEDs , but a separate system on its own , are there any companies that sell complete solar lighting systems or links to designing one ? I found a couple online but the company is in India and it only had a 3 light system ?

Got some lights.
See if they will suit you.

Fairly cheap.

Thanks but I forgot to mention I want to run it on 12 volts and run all the LED lights off one panel probably around 8 lights ?

Congratulations on the little home. I sold my home this summer and went into hiding due to small minded, little, unintelligent people whom dominates most small governing bodies throughout Michigan, namely, the townships. I tore down a nice Gazebo and rebuilt it in an un-zoned township next to it, they lost the tax base and I gained a small and beautiful eighteen by eighteen one bedroom home.

To the point, we have no electricity and want none. At night, we take in a yard light like the other poster put out there. On another sail boat I outfitted with led using those found at H Dept. with a converter to 12 volt. These can be wired directly to a 12 volt and put out a great deal of light in series. Also in the new home, we use a gas light which is very good also. For a small yard light, we picked up some self contained led's with batteries to turn on and off, they hang on the side as well as inside. Those we found at Menards, but they no longer had them this last summer. Just go on line and improvise and pick up a couple of solar panels and stay conservative. I also use a true wave inverter, more money but a great unit for recharging without damage for your electronics.

Just for kicks, we drink creek water after filtering, but then it comes out of the ground a mile up the valley so it is clean to start with.

Eight is nothing, we can run that many on the boat and it is less than an amp, check it out as to amp hours and such, you will be home free.

Do a search for 12 volt appliances. The internet is full of them for RV's and sailboats. Most include LED 12 volt lighting.

Then build yourself a nice solar system. I've posted this before, but here it is again. I spent $1,500. With a cheaper charge controller you can do it for $1,000.

Go to the Energetic Forum and start researching Nathan Stubblefield's "Earth Battery".

It's a simple device to make, you bury it and get free electricity. These simple devices powered all the telegraphs America used to use.

Create a simple "Joule Thief" circuit to use the low voltage to power LED's.

We built some and buried them 4 years ago. They are still powering the LED's around our house.

Also start looking into simple circuits that take electricity from a land phone line. Recharge AA Batteries and power LED's with power from the TELEPHONE Company.

Thanks for the link.

There's a guy called "lidmotor" from the Energetic Forum.

He figured out you can use a copper pot scrubber and a steel pot scrubber. Throw them in the ground and you will get a voltage difference from them (free energy).

The easiest 'Earth Battery' you can build:

Lidmotor is a GENIUS....watch his Youtube channel for free energy/ low voltage circuit porn
