Wow, are those figure carved? Exellent they look moulded or cast.

I was looking at some Mayan wooden art a while ago. That looked painstakingly intricate.

Yes, all of Norburys work is hand carved. Some pieces have multiple inlays of various woods. Here is a good youtube video of how he starts out a head.

And here is one of his pieces with multiple inlays.

Hi ats.

I've been doing some wood carvings and thought I'd share them with you, and you can tell me what you think.

I'm on my IPad and don't know how to upload pics to ats so sorry about the Facebook link. The only other way I know how to do it is via Flickr links one at a time
at least this way you can see them all on the same web page.

www.facebook.com...

If anyone would like to upload some so others don't have to click, be my guest

I'd be lying if I said I only have good sides ... we all need to recognize our shadow side from time to time to keep the balance

Hope you enjoy visiting my website when you get your laptop back or my FB page (@berithwoodwytch).

Long time to reply, sorry. Unfortunately I don't think a ruler would help LOL. I love to doodle, and try to draw but though I can see it in my head, can't put it on paper. I so envy you and those that can do it. Don't thank me for looking, THANK YOU for showing

Great job creating those carvings.

I went to a fair one time and saw a guy carving stuff out of logs and decided I could do it too. My wife said I was crazy and wanted to buy one of his carvings. I made her a deal to buy a chainsaw for carving and I would make her a better carving for our house cheaper than she could buy that one.

So I made a Bear Bench similar to what I saw at the fair.
