Fuel truck crashes in Saudi Arabia

At least 22 people are reported to have been killed when a fuel truck crashed and exploded in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh.

This was a HUGE xplosion judging by the damage in the video
22 dead and rising
all because we demand fuel!

i have to say that seems to be a hell of a lot of damage for a single fuel tanker

ETA - the BBC news channel just reported a building has been flattened also by the explosion

I do agree about the damage. Seems rather extensive for a fuel truck, though I do not know especially good how those kind of explosions tend to be. What kind of fuel was it?

Seems like accidents connected to delivering/producing fuel, do not get especially much attention.

Well, I think it depends on the number of deaths or amount of damage associated with it. That is unless it happened in some Middle Eastern country as the OP stated. Just saying.

They don't have automobile insurance in that country.

If you crash, "Allah willed it".

It's fairly common to drive down their highways and see burned out cars along the road.
