Conservatives: want to overturn Roe vs Wade - - close Planned Parenthood - - stop free birth control for women - - etc.

Some conservatives don't want any of it. Some liberals want all of it.
Some conservatives want some of it. Some liberals want some of it.
Some conservatives want all of it. Some liberals want none of it.

You can deny this all you want to, however the lives of public officials often crosses over into their work, so they are not always on the job, and quite often do these things while earning a salary that is paid by tax payers. You should give a crap, unless you don't pay taxes.
I'd rather keep a close eye on their hours and pay attention to what they do and what they spend than blanket tell everyone how I think they should conduct themselves morally - within clear and universally accepted legal boundaries. We have bigger fish to fry than this right now. You need to trust these people or you shouldn't have elected them. I think we have a right to their working schedule but not their home time.

I am sick of being blindsided by politicians because we put them in office (based on lies & gullibility in the first place) and then forgot about them. These guys should get monthly report cards and I'd like to know when they give themselves a pay raise and a vacation. How come the rest of us don't have those? Pay raises? Vacations? Or the health program I foot the bill for? I might want health insurance myself before I buy it for them. Makes too much sense.

I give them a great deal and I expect a great deal in return. I would like to see progressive, that means forward motion from these guys and there are others who want the reverse. The exact reverse and to go in reverse. That is not me. I want these people in office to accomplish the goals I put them there for and that is personal freedom, human rights and dignity preserved, energy independence and the environment protected esp locally. I am concerned about my local infrastructure and my cities immediate needs when it is an interstate issue. I want the person who is going to make a difference in my life and not deal unfairly with others. I do not want very important issues to be derailed by their sex life thank you very much. Christian? You are casting stones and you were expressly told not to.

Nothing is going to happen to Roe v Wade. Its been law since what 1970?

As to FREE contraceptives, why should we pick and choose certain prescriptions and make them FREE? I don't get it. The pill is not expensive. I have paid for my own contraception my entire life. I don't feel the taxpayer should pay for me. This is not a right.

This Senator is a hypocrite. He would lecture me about conservative's treatment of women, yet look at him.

Taiyed if you can't see that he is every bit a hypocrite and goes against his purported values then I question your attitude towards women.

Yes, you can't lump everybody in the same category, there are pro life democrats.

The issue of reproductive issues top the list as always.

Roe vs Wade can absolutely be overturned.

But that has nothing to do with the subject of this thread.

This thread has nothing to do with Conservatives and their war on women's rights.

Really Annee, you don't see the hypocrisy here? He treated these women like dirt. He contracted with them at an agreed upon price and then gave them barely a fraction of their pay. He did not pay his fair share.

You are taking them at their word that this even happened. Annonymous Dominican prostitutes who don't speak a bit of english so they need a translator. You are taking that as 100% truth and running with it.

These women are willing participants, he didn't treat anyone like dirt. If you are claiming he treated them like dirt because of the pay discrepency, then LOL. It's a business deal, correct? He paid for the services, if they didn't get in writing the agreed upon rate, then that is there fault. Ask Mitt, he will tell you.

His negotiation skills should be applauded. If only our government could operate at 20% the asking price.

That's how I see it.

The Right Wing should be applauding his business savy. He got the service for a lower price and he outsourced, Right Wingers should be swooning over him.

Just pointing out your own hypocrisy. Now we have it on the record. Women, especially foreign women are to be used, cheated and denigrated. They are less than.... disgusting.

I see your true colors shining through.

All I see is you grabbing opportunity to slam a Democrat

If it had been a Republican - - you'd find a way to spin it to make it the prostitutes fault.

Unless his marriage ended because he frequents the "escort type" of hooker. I would say that's probally the case. In his mind he thiinks, you can only take a Stepford Wife so far.......

Yep, you got me, I hate women.

One thing though, can you explain how these women were denigrated? They are participating in a legal profession in the Dominican, they "claim" they had an agreed upon price but they were still paid a sum of money for their services.

Now, I think what you are really upset about is that they are prostitutes and that Mr Menendez paid for sex, and somehow you think that in itself degrades women. Well, that is your personal opinion and not something I am required to base my own opinions off of.

There was nothing illegal done here, you are just desperately trying to make this an issue because all right leaning people are currently in desperation mode because Romney is losing.

I see you grabbing an opportunity to slam a conservative, me. I'm conservative in a consistent sense in that I want to minimize big government. If this Senator were a conservative I would find his actions just as hypocritical, perhaps even more if he were the type to preach moral behavior.

How do you reconcile this guys mistreatment of these women with your stance on women's issues... just curious?

HA.

Because you have no answers, you are just spewing partisan hatred. You really have no idea why you are against what this guy did, but you have been told you should be outraged, and so you act like you are.

It's a very simple question, how were these women mis-treated?

Lemme see their work resumes. What they do on their own time when they aren't on my time clock, I don't care.

What a boring non event.
Has drudge taken a page out of the ATS attention seekers posting guidelines book? This was a big let down, I was hoping for an actual scandal and this turned out to be a story that should barely get a mention on page 12 of the news paper in barely readable fine print.

Perhaps you should care. Maybe if more people did care about what people do in their own time, this country wouldn't be in the toilet.

So, by your logic is it okay that a school teacher is a closet pedophile at home off the clock, but doing a great job teaching kids at school? It's the same thing......yes, it is.

We need to wash all people with no morals out of these types of careers.
