Michael Brown, the former FEMA director infamously praised by President George W. Bush for doing a "heckuva job" during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, told a local paper that President Barack Obama acted too quickly in mobilizing relief for Superstorm Sandy. "Here's my concern," Brown told Denver's Westword on Monday, suggesting that the official response was actually making people complacent. "It's premature [when] the brunt of the storm won't happen until later this afternoon."

"This is a serious and big storm," Obama said after meeting with FEMA officials and talking to governors Sunday. "And my first message is to all the people across the Eastern seaboard, Mid-Atlantic, going north, that you need to take this very seriously." Brown suggested Obama was just trying to look good. "He probably figured Sunday was a good day to do a press conference," Brown said in his interview.

www.huffingtonpost.com...

He was "too slow" responding to the American Embassy attack and "too fast" for Sandy... don't worry republicans, according to the "3 bears rule", the next major event that may happen, Obama will get it "just right"

If Obama came out in favor of oxygen, Republicans would suffocate themselves to death...lol
but seriously, this a prime example of how incredibly petty the right has become.

I always expect this level of scrutiny this close to election, whether it is valid or not is another discussion entirely

Both sides are guilty of some pretty crazy and ill tasting PR campaigns.

Edit: As a side note. I was watching CNN for quite awhile during Hurricane Sandy, did you notice some of those silly campaign commercials? The one condemning socialism was pretty funny.

I presume this kind looking gentlemen who immigrated to the US is voting Republican

for anyone who agrees with brown about his statement on Bush in 2005..a little food for thought.
From one of the comments in the link.

Well, to be fair, his template for hurricane disaster response was the Bush Administration. Monday August 29, 2005: Katrina hits New Orleans. The levees were breached on Monday, discovered on Monday, and confirmed on Monday. On Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday, George Bush remained on vacation in Crawford, Texas. President Bush went golfing on Tuesday, and later that day played guitar with country singers while New Orleans died. On Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday and Friday, Vice President Dick Cheney remained on vacation in Jackson, Wyoming. On Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice went on vacation in New York City.

I'm glad to here that Brownie, still has a mind like a steel trap. After all, it was he that wrote the book on effective hurricane response. It's really great to see that he still knows how to do, one heckuva job.

You're right, the problem is you probably don't see if Republicans came out for oxygen Democrats would suffocate. Both sides are identical in their rediculousness. When people realize both sides are equally petty, we may get somewhere. Obama failed miserably in Benghazi, I haven't seen anything bad about the response to Sandy.

Bush gave proper permissions for Karina.
Obama gave proper permissions for Sandy.
What the states do with that money is up to them.
What the media does with that information is never going to be anywhere near the truth.
