80,000 lbs. of walnuts stolen. Why?

Who do we know connected with government, currently involved in a controversy, that owns a walnut farm in northern California? Guess. (Hint: Taxpayers were paying $20,000 extra per week so he could fly home to his walnut farm every week.)

Just wondering out loud if anyone else sees something odd in this "theft" of "walnuts"....not once, but twice.

why ? - because they have a legitimate value of $300K - and can be ` laundered ` for $50K - a good take for a single theif in 2 days
