My family or myself have never owned weapons, but even I know you NEVER point a weapon at someone as a "joke" to children, com'on......"Wash my car or I'll shoot you" that is funny? I would have been angry as a parent even if my child was not tazzed.

What these children were taught is that the police can ask you to do unreasonable and unlawful things, and if you don't comply you are fair game to be beaten or shot....and WTH was his partner, or other adults....my ex was playing with a bb gun once, and I was freaking out, sure enough there was a bb still in there, when he shot it at his hand to prove to me it wasn't loaded.....dumb mistake but at least he didn't point the damm thing at me or the pets.....he still has that bb in his hand to this day.......and it was painful.

Police should know how reckless it is to handle a weapon in this manner, and I have to think this man lacks the basic intellegence and reasoning abilities to have any power over others.

True true. I contradicted myself when earlier I said I wouldn't mind if someone smacked the cop after saying calls for violence were unwarranted.

Thats what you take from my post? I'm astonished by that fact alone!

You have got to be joking pal. Either that or you are one of them. Why do you think they never done me with possession then? Was it out of kindness do you think? Maybe somthing to do with the fact that they had the wrong name, wrong address, wrong creed, and the fact that they were blatantly wrong on all counts. Ya think!!!!!

And lets not forget the sexual assault by that i mean bend over Andy time for a strip search!

If this was actually the case, it's absolutely disgusting & the man should be disrespected to the utmost. Sued, fired, even imprisoned. However, to be fair here's the report from the officer stating his side of the story.

His report smells of bull excrement a little, with just a hint of pork dont you think?

I teach my kids that THERE ARE NO ACCIDENTS!

Every "accident" is a result of someone's negligence or lack of forethought. If you point a gun at someone, and they "accidentally" get shot, then it wasn't really an accident was it? Someone did something stupid, and someone else got hurt. The same goes for tasers. I've fired good employees when they did something stupid, and entirely foreseeable, and it cost the company money. People need to use that mushy stuff between their ears a little more often! If one of my kids gets hurt due to an "accident," I bet I can very quickly assess the situation and decide who's thought process, or lack thereof, is responsible for my injured kid, and I guarantee I won't sue, but there will be repercussions. I might not overreact, or kill anybody. But if my kid is hurting, the person responsible will also be hurting in disproportionate and memorable manner, so maybe they'll think things through a little better next time!

The taser is a gun by any description, that's simple logic, that much I agree as it is the same thing, but also as a weapon of choice it is bound by the rules, in which it can only be used if there is unruliness, and in this case should not have been a drawn weapon, unless pointed away or upward in demonstration. The court case should be open and shut by that reasoning. I don't agree with the idea of vigilantism revenge.

That I cannot say. I don't know anything about what really happened apart from the article & report. It could be the case that the child & parents are just looking for a good chance to sue; the official story seems so ridiculous & extreme that it's possible. However I've read enough reports of police brutality & abuse to realize things like this can occur.

According to his report he was demonstrating the taser to the students, and it accidentally went off. If this is what really happened, shouldn't there be other witnesses?? I want to give the cop a fair shake instead of jumping to the immediate conclusion, even though the 'accident' is very clumsy to begin with. I also just looked up the report on cops handcuffing & tasing a man having a seizure, giving him permanent brain damage;.... it seems like many police are either complete morons or genuine amoral narcs.

What not to say to Policemen

"Hey, is that a 9mm? That's nothing compared to this .44 magnum!

Sorry, Officer, I didn't realize my radar detector was unplugged.

Hey, you must've been doing about 125 mph to keep up with me! Good Job!

Is it true that people become cops because they are too dumb to work at McDonald's?

I can't reach my license unless you hold my beer.

Aren't you the guy from the villiage people?

I thought you had to be in relatively good physical shape to be a police officer.

I was going to be a cop, but I decided to finish high school instead.

Bad cop. No donut.

You're not going to check the trunk, are you?

Didn't I see you get your butt kicked on cops?

Gee officer, that's terrific. The last officer only gave me a warning.

Do you know why you pulled me over? Okay, just so one of us does.

What do you mean have I been drinking? You are the trained specialist.

Well, when I reached down to pick up my bag of crack, my gun fell off of my lap and got lodged between the brake and the gas pedal, forcing me to speed out of control.

Hey, can you give me another one of those full cavity searches?"

LOL LOL LOL

"According to his report he was demonstrating the taser to the students"

That right there says it all to me. I mean why would 10 year old kids need to know how to fire a Taser weapon? Has the world really gone that mental???

What is the problem? If you didnt have drugs - no problem, as it was you had drugs - so your problem!

Actually... this is all of our problem.......and it's getting worse...you really think it's fair or reasonable to raid someone's home without even finding out if they have the right home, and then further harrass them for something that should be legal to begin with?

You really can't understand until it happens to you...and I will share an experience I have shared before, but I think andy06 might appreciate it here......I was awoken one morning by pounding on my doors, I had a locked security gate, so probably why they didn't break down my door.....I open the door and like 10 cops storm my house guns drawn, I just kept pleading with someone to tell me WHAT was happening...I was basically told to shut the hell up...they proceeded to search my house, at this point I am told they are looking for my BF...no warrent or permission was given by me to enter my home, he had his own place, and I guess they couldn't find it.

Finally I am told he is wanted for assult, long story short he defended himself against a violent, out of control drunk, he doesn't drink, and was defending his loved ones...he had called 911....all charges were dropped...but it was a nightmare that cost $600 dollars in bail he will never get back, Anyways I try to explain to the police what had happened, and ask to call my BF on my cell phone to clear things up...at this point they take away my cell phone....and force me to get in a police car and show them where he lived...cause at this point I am being vague with them about directions...he wasn't going to run from the cops, and he was about to be ambused.

I guess they like the early morning "surprise attack"......My God.....they marched him down the street in handcuffs, his boxers, and barefeet...they would not allow me to speak with him...they let his dog out and she was trying to run after him, I begged the cops to please let me at least get the dog.....they said NO...Thank Goodness a very kind neighbor of his grabbed her until I could go pick her up...

After 3 horrible days we finally get him out.....the jail is 30 miles out of town and I wasn't able to get him out until almost 3 am......after being told 11 pm.....of course one of the worst storms of the season was occuring....and those bastards released him in barefeet and boxers....he was shivering, wet and completely "freaked out" ...they told me the wrong friggin place to wait....I was never soo happy to see him in my life....and I think he felt the same way....you just can't understand until you have gone through this ordeal.......

My heart goes out to you as well...once you get caught in this nightmare, you quickly learn you have no rights......For God's sake I'm at a loss for words...it's just surreal....I'm a Mommy in my 40's...not that it should matter, how someone looks.....but I just couldn't imagine the level of TOTAL disrespect and down right terrorism that was inflicted upon us...other then a few traffic violations, and an un-paid dog liscence, the dog had died....I have no criminal record.......but in these situations you are not allowed to talk as a reasonable person......What's next...knocking down the doors to find "domestic terrorists" that dare to challenge this nonsence.

Pointing a weapon at a child, as a "joke" is very alarming to me....

Firstly this makes no damn sense at all
Cop: so I took the cartridge out before anyone got there, because you know, we're not going to use them, but knowing several other groups of students would be by any minute, I put the cartridge back in and FORGOT? What a pile of BS,

then rips the cartridge out of the gun and throws it on the ground, why? The off button isn't enough, letting go of the trigger isn't enough?, or was it so when an adult does show up to see what's going on there's no evidence, just some over reacting kids (in shock) with a big tale.

Second, why the hell was the person who just shot him allowed to take him into a bathroom alone to "help clean him up" yah and make damn sure I scare the hell out of the kid I just shot so he doesn't report it.
THIS SHOULD BE A RED FLAG RIGHT THERE!

Why is this in civil court, that's assault accident or not.

Where were the frakin adults to jump this psycho, the school, and police department should be held accountable. The officer should lose job, lose civil trial, then go to jail.
