Greatest country on Earth

This is my first thread in a political forum and mabey my last. The point of it is to ask a question what is the greatest country currently on earth today.
I think to answer the question requires some metrics so the ones i will use are

Social Welfare system
Police force
Food supply to population
Medical
Cost of living
Political system
Ethics and Morality in Society
Level of crime in populus
Employment & jobs
Opportunities to advance in life

I believe these attributes make up the basic structure of society. The scores are subjective of course representation of your view living in the country you live in. Place a ranking of 1 to 5 again each and add the total up. A high score means a better condition than a low score. So for example if a country has a superb social security system it will get a 5. If it has a poor Mediical system the rating will be low value.
Ill start for Australia>>>

Social Welfare system - 4
Police force - 4
Food supply to population - 4
Medical - 3
Cost of living - 2
Political system - 3
Ethics and Morality in Society - 3
Level of crime in populus - 3
Employment & jobs -3
Opportunities to advance in life - 3

Total score 29 out of 50

was going to give my scores for the uk but so much is changing at the moment (for the worse) it wouldnt be accurate.
I've always been told that Canada was the best place to live, be interesting to hear what others have to say.

Good idea for a thread

Oh well, might as well say what I think the UK would score at the moment
Social Welfare system - 2
Police force - 4 Compared with the US we have angels
Food supply to population - 4
Medical - 3
Cost of living - 1
Political system - 0
Ethics and Morality in Society - 2
Level of crime in populus - 3
Employment & jobs -2
Opportunities to advance in life - 2

Total score 23 out of 50

I think in a perfect world everyone should say their country is the best. It is about pride in where you live. Unfortunately, those dang politicians and leaders ruin it for everyone.

Exactly. Nationalism is often seen as somehow retrogressive but in a sense its our only (or at least our most effective) bulwark against internationalist globalist tyrrany.

Nationalism is an outdated relic that has no place in the modern world.

It's for jack-booted thugs and not an enlightened society.

Would you care to explain your views? Different countries have different perspectives and priorities. What might be important to people in Denmark might not be important to people in Argentina. Personally, I don't think there is anything wrong with national pride, to me it means you care about your homeland and the policies that affects it's citizens.

"National pride" is what led to fascism in the first place.

See: Nazi Germany

Unfortunately, there are a few newly "freed" places on Earth that could have made it to this list, but now they are running rampant with their new found "democracy" and can no longer be part of this list.

Peace, NRE.

It also led to wonderful things in Switzerland, Denmark, USA, and many others. If that is your only example, it is a poor one, not that I disagree about your example but nationalism also changed the path of Germany after ww2 and they are now leading the EU in economy. What I would like to know it what else do you believe about this. There is a possibility a of good and bad in everything and it is up to the people on what direction a country takes.

The thing is, people are tribal by nature. Nations are an extention of tribe.

The drive to break down all barriers between people and make us all one groovy human family is doomed to falure because it denies something essential in humans: We form groups for competiton and protection with other groups. Sorry, pal, that's just the way it is.

Switzerland:

Social Welfare system - 4
Police force - 5
Food supply to population - 5
Medical - 5 (people are flying there for treatments)
Cost of living - 2 (meh)
Political system - 5 (super direct democracy with multiple parties)
Ethics and Morality in Society - 4 (everyone got skeletons, but at least they're not invading others)
Level of crime in populus - 5 (safe...very...very...safe)
Employment & jobs - 4 (gone up slightly, still better than EU before the crisis)
Opportunities to advance in life - 4 (depends on what you want really)

Overall, really hard to beat in terms of standard of living.

43/50

Are you always this rude? There is no need for such a childish response when I am being polite and inquisitive. Shame on you for this attitude.
