They keep it in the family Bush,Cheney,Obama,Romney are all related. They are distant cousins so it doesn't matter who you vote for. Bush is a distant cousin to the Queen of England just like Blair and Cameron are so the game is rigged. Vote for someone else.

A thread i started that died a quick and painless death
I refuse to vote for any of the choices given. I do not feel that any of them have an agenda focused on what is best for the country.

They ALL lie. They ALL say what they think we want to hear. They ALL have underlying ulterior motives.

By voting, i am ultimately choosing to accept the current system and the choices we've been given.

If "None of the above" was an option on the ballot, i would be the first in line. But, until then, I cannot take part in this joke being played on us, the American people. It truly SICKENS me

he commies want Obama while the majority of the people who are voting for obama have no education on communism. IDIOCY!

Idiocy is thinking that Obama is a "commie", or that any person who stands up for the disenfranchised is a "commie". You are completely incorrect on this. And apparently, it is you who could stand some education about the differences between social democracy, socialism, and communism. They are VASTLY different.

I'm so sick of hearing that Obama's a communist. It's ridiculous. When people say that, they look like panicky IDIOTS!

i'm with ya...can you imagine if NOBODY! showed up to vote for either bought- an- paid for hoes!...i have a dream!.

Here is what would happen if NOBODY voted:
CONGRESS WOULD DECIDE.
You want that? I had the same "dream" a few months ago, so I looked up the laws. Turns out that if no one votes, then Congress gets to vote without consent of the people.

That said, yes, it's already too late. But, it's a good gauge of the climate in American (and the world), that Obama is still supported.

Found this earlier today:

Are voters still picking leader of free world?

An editorial, yes, but the author says:

There was a time, not very long ago, when it seemed as if each of the world's major problems and every potential solution pivoted around the United States. The president of the United States was referred to as the leader of the free world, and the term was not used with irony or mockery.

No one today would, or should, use that musty old expression, which dates back to the Cold War. For one thing, it's not even clear precisely what the free world is. Still, it's worth pondering whether if in the next election, American voters will crown the most powerful man in the world, the man who will lead the world's democracies and inspire those who aspire to freedom. In short:

Does America, and the American president, still matter that much to the rest of the planet?

That's the beginning premise (question), and it's a valid one.
Here is HER EXPERT OPINION:

The world watches America's top politicians. It gets to know them, and everyone has an opinion.....
Early this year, the international consensus was against Obama. Just 46% wanted him re-elected, according to Gallup's March poll. His approval rating collapsed, particularly in Arab countries, scraping the bottom in Egypt at just 19%.

But NOW>>>>>>>>

As the alternative emerged, views changed. Now that they see it's Obama or Romney, the world says give us Obama. I'll leave the explanation of that reaction for another day.

I want to applaud our fellow Earth-dwellers who are not able to vote. One point made in the article linked above is that it might be a good idea for EVERYONE ON THE PLANET to have a say in this election, BECAUSE:

The United States has undoubtedly lost a great deal of the influence it once had. It doesn't always have the ability or the inclination to shape events. Power is more widely divided, but still today nobody has more of it. And that power is not just measured in money or guns. It is still measured in ideas and values. That's why polls show so many people still look to the United States and say they want America to hold on to its position of global leadership.
The entire world is paying attention to the American election, because the president of the United States, whoever he (yes, still he) is, remains the most powerful and influential human being on Earth.

The whole world sees that Romney is a perfect specimen of THE PROBLEM.

yeah, i will vote for obama too...the right-wing republicans have completely gone over the edge...the fact that they have worked against obama even to the detriment of the american people, is errily similar to another group that obtained power in 1930.

Do you hold Bush responsible for anything of the state in which this country is in? Do you believe that your National vote matters if you are in any other state that is not a swing state?

Who would you like me to vote for?

I'm sorry, but people like you scare me.

Have you ever heard of the NDAA? Tell me, have you? Did you know that Americans can now be detained and imprisoned--even killed--without due process? It was recently used on a Marine who spoke out about Obama on FB. Yes, it's true. But you are probably asleep.

Hey, why do you come to ATS?

This is a conspiracy website.

Obama is the biggest fraud--the biggest conspiracy ever perpetraded on the American people.

But you're probably one of the people who cried tears of joy when he spoke four years ago.

Ugh.

Such vitriol - panties in a bunch?

If you recall, it was King Bush II that started us down the police state route. How is it that you condemn Obama for doing something that you would applaud a 'Bush' or 'Romney' for?

Can someone explain this apparent double standard please?

The problem with not voting at all is that you then comply with stated repubnut strategy of suppressing the vote that they have been practicing for 40 years. In the 60's (and forgive me for not having a source at hand) the republican party deduced that it was to their benefit if voter turn-out was low and hence began a campaign (open and covert) of convincing voters not to vote. I refuse to give up my RIGHT to vote.

Do I feel powerless - Yes. Do I feel my voice is heard - No.

Also by choosing not to vote in a specific race, you are less likely to even go to the polls and vote on local issue and candidates in which you do have some say and, arguably, effect you more.

Please people - however you choose to vote - at least take the time to do so - WHILE WE STILL HAVE THE RIGHT!

You blame the NDAA on Obama?! You DO know it was drafted and signed into law in 2006, right? All Obama did was sign a renewal of the act. Why was it not bad when George Bush signed it into law?

I'm surprised that on a conspiracy website, informed and seemingly intelligent people actually believe they have any say in who will become the president. Aside from the fact that we have seen evidence the electoral college takes precedence and the popular vote is meaningless, we have also seen evidence of voter fraud, like when king bush the junior was (s)elected.

The truth of the matter is that The Powers That Be will select whichever puppet president they choose. (You know, TPTB that you guys are always insisting is running things behind the scenes? Yeah, them. Somewhat more specifically, I'll call them "financial interests.")

Personally, I'm scared of both of these guys. I've seen evidence that Obama has used Ericksonian suggestion (pronounced "covert hypnosis") in his speeches. One of the more blatant and sneaky uses of brainwashing I've seen EVIDENCE for. Of course, it could be argued that advertisers use similar "brainwashing" methods all the time. And they do. But IMO this is a little more serious.

While I think Obama has been proved an ineffective president and a liar, I think Romney is just as suspect. Especially to become president during a FINANCIAL crisis. Look at what he did to the economy in Massachusetts when he had run of the place, if you want a preview of what would happen to Romney's America. Plus, I really don't think we need another religious nut in the white house, what with this "extremist muslim" threat out there.

I dont trust Obama farther than I can throw him. Which is probably not far at all, even though he looks like kind of a svelt guy. But there is something to be said, perhaps, for the evil that one knows.

I think ultimately south park was right, though. Sometimes you're left with only a choice between a giant douche and a turd sandwich.
