I really have nothing else to say. This "election" is a complete joke. You have no choice.

Typical ATS member thinking he is a holding onto some sort of special knowledge. Said person proves this to people through hard facts and research, or just calling everyone idiots. HAH. Let me tell you, i'm sick of this self-righteous egotistic wankery that goes through peoples minds who think they've "like, figured it all out, man
" This condescending pretentious bull# is exactly what i'm referencing to. What makes you think you know so much about the political spectrum that you can tell people who to vote for and write them off as idiots?

Maybe if half of the libertarian/constitutionalist blow-hards would stop smiling at themselves in the mirror and actually contribute to politics instead of blindly affirming how "right they are" by haphazardly linking to a few Ron Paul videos on youtube then maybe something would get done. Protest voting, give me a #ing break - we have a two party system! And guess what, the golden savior of ATS (Ron Paul) is in one of them (R), and guess what also? He WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH to get the primary ticket! Boo hoo. Get over it. Of course making a topic like this will just spawn a bunch of ATS members nodding their heads at each other all day, but whatever - it's typical. There is a difference between parties, and if you can't see that then you are still a child who needs to run over to his local Occupy movement and get in line. Take your "sheeple" Alex Jones rhetoric somewhere else.

Yes, it's a two-party system. We don't have it bad at all in America, in fact I quite like it here - if your biggest complain is that there AREN'T ENOUGH people for you to vote for then really life can't be all that bad.

I swear the lot here just looks for things to be angry about. Walk outside, it isn't that bad out there. Well, unless you're in the northeast like me right now haha - but still.

Capitalism only works when we have rational actors.

Democracy only works when we have rational voters.

I believe I'm fairly intelligent, reasoned, ect., and occasionally feel the party system sucking me in. And not to boast, but comparatively Americans are dumb, people are dumb.

We're screwed, that's not hyperbole.

Actually capitalism only "works" in a continual growth environment, because mathematically it requires that wealth produced by the working classes be siphoned to the top for control. That's what capitalism is.

I am staying home in protest. Never missed an election in my adult life. But since Obama took office, I have finally realized that both parties are identical. Obama=GWB=Clinton=Romney...they are all the same.

No one even gets to run as an R or a D unless they are 'in on it.'

Capitalism is based on competition. That means there will be winners and losers. If we can accept that then we should understand that we must INVEST in the losers to keep it competitive. After all, the losers are just as critical to the economic system as the winners. That means EDUCATION should be our #1 priority, not social welfare. We don't want to breed generations of losers living off the government, we need to educate them. Who wants a bunch of uneducated criminals running amok?

Neither of the two parties makes education a priority.

Correction…redistributive socialist systems don’t work because eventually you run out of other people’s money. That’s where the math just doesn’t work….

Socialism is almost always militant and always benefits just one group of people - the central planner themselves.

I agree that we have no choice in the matter but I definitely encourage voting for Ron Paul or Gary Johnson. Get their numbers as high as you can to show the populace they should be taken seriously. Trust me, Obama/Romney will get a lot of votes so they need a counter. Not voting is an option I've done myself but for now on I will vote when I can and vote against both Donkeys and Elephants every time.

Very true, it's just a show for this rotational dictatorship. It's only a rare occasion that someone with a backbone comes along and has the highest honor loyalty for themselves and for others.

This will be my only other message to you because I know your debate style like the back of my handm You didn't address or counter anything I'd said... You wont with this one either...

Rigged or not….at least I’m in the game.

What kind of logic s this? So lets get his straight, you go to a casino and someone tells you "hey buddy, dont play the black jack, it's rigged" you would say... "Oh it's okay you gotta be on it to win it! Atleast I'm in the game!" Yup excellent!

It’s not the honorable, prosperous, equitable system that communism is, huh?

This comment is sooo rich! YOU sir support socialistic and communistic policies! I on the other hand want no RULER at all! I don't want to contol what you do in any way! If you want to be socialist, go be it! If you want to be statist, go be it! All I ask is for the same respect and let me live MY life the way I see fit! But oh no no no... You want me beaten and locked up because my opinions differ from yours! Tell me I'm wrong! YOU want the government/mafia to steal from me so YOU get what YOU want... Pretty damn selfish wouldnt you say? Pretty damn immoral too! Dont you know theft is wrong?

Like I said…..just sit it out and let me and my buddies decide your fate. I’m cool with that!

Ha, you think I yield to you and your mafia? Think again.. I dont care what you or your criminal organisation does says or thinks... I just get on with my life...

Sure it is! Whatever makes you feel better!  Sometimes I think people who claim to be independent (and people who refuse to vote) simply do so to maintain their ability to bitch about everything while taking no responsibility. If that isn’t a sad I don’t know what is.

See nothing, no counter argument, just some drivle. Same old same old... You think? Could of fooled me... I don't claim I'm independant at all, I am a family man... I hear PLENTY of people who vote bitching, what is your excuse for them? Take responsibility? You don't know what that means!

See what makes me laugh is that you said earlier that 47% didn't vote right? So what percentage do we need so that we have no government? Or do you not REALLY believe in democracy? You are a hypocrite and a fraud! The majority has already spoken many times but you WON'T listen!

Keep being immoral all you want, it makes no difference to me, just know what you do and advocate is EVIL. If you can live with that then more power to you...

You want "no ruler at all?" How does that work? It doesn't. Everyone just doing there own thing, huh? What you think is a utopia would actually be lawlessness, chaos, and ultimately, the overthrow of the country by someone with a ruler. Soon after that, you'd certainly be pining over the good old days, when you had a President you didn't like, but at least you were free and happy.

Actually, you're wrong. In your model capitalism requires the cliche trickle-down and flood-up, promoting an expanding disparity between the haves and have nots It's the type of thing, as a communist, I'm sure you're opposed to. Well so am I, which is why I said capitalism requires rational actors, a term in economics to describe a populace that makes not only the most financially beneficial decisions (best product at lowest price) but also morally ethical decisions.

Example. I hate BP, after the oil spill and until this day they are the scum of the Earth. I, as a rational actor, have not bought anything from BP since the oil spill. But Americans, as the pig sheep they are, were filling up the day after as if nothing had happened. Now if America had a majority of rational actors like me, BP would be out of business. Instead they thrive.

At this stage of the game I'd vote for Obama just to vote against Romney and the Bush Jr. crazy war criminals like Condi Rise and the billionaire crony-captialists that come packaged with him.

Um, you did know Condi endorsed Obama, didn't you?

Just an FYI.

Also a kudos for being a fellow "idiot" although this "idiot" will be voting for Romney.

The vast partisan divide in America parallels to an alarming degree the vast social and racial divide that led to the American civil war, and as a concerned outsider looking at my neighbor to the south I'm becoming increasingly concerned.

Violent rhetoric abounds, from from rabid Obama supporters and the far-right, who support Mitt because he's not Obama - and for no reason other than that.

The two candidates, their platforms are essentially the same. They may as well be the same friggen person, just one a little more heavily tanned than the other.

It's a game folks, pitting American against American for the financial gain of the elites. So few Americans realize this that I despair for all of the innocent lives which will surely be lost in the inevitable Second American Civil War.

God help us.

You're voting for Romney? Why?

He's not going to help the situation - he'll just be salt in the wound.

Because he is a better alternative to Obama. We know what Obama will do in his second term.

Right now, we can "hope" Romney repairs the damage.
