I like the new scoreboard, mike hasnt updated yet though. I thought mine would go quicker, but its moving fast enough, I just upgraded to a AMD Barton 2500, and a gig of PC2700 ramm.

My 2500+ Barton kicks out 9 to 11 wu/day using the command line version of SETI. I have not run the screen saver version in so long that I have no personal experience to base any guesses on anymore.

I just hit 1000 WU's today. Finally!

I'm going on 111.5 as of now...

I had an Athlon 750 Thunderbird and got ~10 on that.
I had an AthlonXP 1800 Palomino and got ~10 on that.
Now it have an AthlonXP 2600 Barton and have gotten ~92 on this.
I average ~ 3.5 hours per data unit.




I am only able to get ~5 a day if I where to leave my computer on.
How do you do this?

No real tricks. I just run the 3.08 version of the non-graphical SETI on Windows XP with all the un-needed services disabled and as little software running in the background as I feel I can safely get away with. When I have a machine to spare, I am going to fiddle around with overclocking it and see if that makes any difference.

If you really want to crank out the WU's then use the CLI and the SETI Driver.

My old machine was an AMD 900 with 512Mb of ram and I was at 2.9 a day.

I built myself a game machine: Intel 3.2e, 1gig ram, and now at 16.9 a day.

How do you do this? Any help would be appreciated.

CLI is the Command line program instead of the screen saver.
The SETI Driver is a GUI interface for the CLI. With it you can set priority, number of processes, cache.

Keep an eye on your CPU temp, depending on how you set it up ALL spare CPU cycles are used and as some people with laptops have found out, your CPU CAN GET VERY HOT.
