Thanks for the reply, I can see better where you're coming from.

I will keep my opinions to myself for now, but my last post still stands.

When one is "enlightend" he is just worshipping himself.

I am well aware too of the "falling" of the church. This is predicted in the Bible—the falling away during the last days. But even when that comes to fruition, and all those fall away that will, there will still be a church; even after 12/21.

awakened ones dont worship anything man, nothing, nada, zilcho

why do you worship ? its so un-necessary

i think your upset and think everyone must believe your fables, those days will be over in the future

yes it will be a while after dec21 for the last bible bashers to die out but it is cosmic in nature, beyond human control

people indoctrinated will stay indoctrinated but the people of today are using the philosophers stone (brain) and dont listen to your non logical fables

the bible is the bastards bible, thats why every bastard has one

ask your spirit to show you the real teachings of spirit

That date seems to have no reason other than some belief in pagan faith or occult belief. Give us the reason for this new age of reason.

I dont have any belief only knowledge, i dont believe in the gods, i believe in my consciousness and spirit

Evolution works in many ways, one important way is a cosmic cycle upwards, the date is when the earth will be in the full light of the cosmic energy

I don't want to presume why you do or do not place importance on that date but I can give you some insight from my path.

Yule this year falls on December 21st and is a day I revere. From Autumn equinox (Mabon) to Spring equinox (Ostara), we are in the "spirit" half of the year and half of that portion is ruled by the Holly King. I and many on paths similar to mine celebrate it as the Holly King prepares to depart and birth is given to the Oak King. If it helps, think of the whole thing as the "return of the Sun god". My Goddess is also in her Crone state for the moon which makes this date special for the widest variety of practitioners as it has the most broad appeal.

Point is that it symbolizes a new era and a changing of the guards. This coincides with much of what you are contemplating. I figure it might help you decipher further inspirations you get from your sources. Good luck and don't forget to step back and bask in the happenings sometimes instead of being too intent on its meanings.

The reference to Dec 21st would seem to relate to the pagan beliefs you talk about Cuervo. It could also be derived from new age philosophy, like the cycle of cosmic energy he mentions. The ideas put forth about the last pope, fiat money and micro chipping sounds like mixing in a few conspiracies. Also, why not through in a dash of pop culture like Star Trek.

Then there is hdonn's statement, "I dont have any belief only knowledge, i dont believe in the gods, i believe in my consciousness and spirit."

He claims to to have no belief and in the same sentence claims a belief in "knowledge", consciousness and spirit.

I personally "know" enough to realize I have no real knowledge of anything, just flawed memories about some limited sensory stimulation put together in my mind. Nothing I "know" is objective, it is just my extremely flawed perspective on a reality I'll never really know objectively.

Then you probably understand why I just offered it up to him as raw perspective instead of trying to fit it into his established thoughts.

I don't wanna go anywhere near there 'cause we'll all come out of it confused as crap.

In a way, you re actually agreeing with the whole concept of Zionism and Nazism Party. They want you to think that way.

The nazi and communism lost the nuclear war. But I am sad to see that didn't lost the bigger war - the psychological war. In a sense, these parties have won.

I had a similar thought. This thread may be an indication of the brainwashing going on. I was going to post a comment like that earlier, but you did it first. Not sure if it is just popular culture or a full blown conspiracy at work though. Not trying to flame hdonn for his comments, just an observation.

Yeah. I first was a New Ager. But then I read about Zion party, and the big banks, and Project Paperclip, and Georgia Guidestones (which by the way are written by an old religious sect, not unlike the freemasons), and Project Blue Beam from NASA, and then it kinda all make a creepy kind of sense. Once I had all the pieces of the puzzle, the picture I saw wasn't very innocent and cute. It was a program. We mustn't forget that the CIA (which is linked to MKUltra mind-programmation, and went to court because families complained) was behind New Age's steps.

I've thought that the new age movement was a kind of hip, pop culture, false awakening kind of deal for a long time now. I haven't looked into its origins, but it wouldn't surprise me to find out that is was an actual conspiracy.

The new age movement is not really a new phenomenom; merely the old pagan religious ideas dressed up in more modern terms. It really gained momentum during the mid-18 hundreds and flourished well into the mid-20th century. Hitler was very much into the occultic and mystical practices of this so-called new age movement.

to the op: your thread is really too funny. The Age of Reason was/is a mismomer. It really should be called the age of wanton self-interest. Also, would you please specify which church is falling? There are many religious institutions which are called a church. One should really understand what it is that one is posting about. If you are talking about a particular church, please specify, if you are talking about over-all religious belief, please back that up with proof.

All religions talk of an end time..so it mattters to religion greatly. Religion says death and destruction will follow the end times..this is were religion is faulty .

Death and destruction do not follow the end times...one thousand years of peace follow the end times.

What is faulty is your understanding of prophesy of some religions.

What really gets me is that this winter equinox 2012 is significant to so many Faiths. Maybe it's just a point in time were the mass consciousness of the people of the planet will converge. Lots of people in the world are aware of this date in one way or another. This event may trigger something we can't yet explain. Either way we win is the way I look at it.
