Wow, this is a big quake... I'm in the GTA and got one eye on Sandy. Let's hope the West Coast of NA is OK. Still see no tsunami updates...

Yeah, the weather channel just said it was a 7.7 with a tsunami warning.

No Tsunami Warning yet...

ptwc.weather.gov...

Peace

Really??

google.org...

What does that mean then?

It simply means that those in the business of monitoring and reporting on Tsunamis are saying "No Tsunami Threats".

Of course all MSM outlets are going to make this out to be a major disaster, then pull it back when the excitement has died down. Gotta have the sensationalistic ratings if only for 30 minutes.

I'm going with the experts on this one.

Peace

I truely wish ppl would get off the "full moon" kick.........is your pond or lake flooded when the sun moves shade from the trees over it?....same theory....full/new.....makes no diff...!
it's just shade .......not allmighty gravitational light bending forces.....
because the light helps to reference the position of the moon in relation to the earth and sun, it is an indicator of the distortion in the earth's gravity well. Planetary allignments might have no effect, but the lunar allignment very well could. It isn't about light.

They have protective walls in the coast. I think the tsunami needs to have more than 5m height.

Thanks for your answer.
Here's the best of hopes everyone everywhere is safe.

So much ancient history and nature on those beautiful islands Haida Gwaii.
