RSOE EDIS is adding additional tsunami warnings down the west coast. Looks like another dozen have been added more south.

Tofino apparently experienced a small wave too (not entirely surprising because its one of the most vulnerable beaches on the coast line for tsunamis).

Please everyone on the coast be safe and anyone in the ring of fire.

I felt it, but at the time had no idea what it was. Thought I had too much caffeine and I'm inland as well, how ever I was late to discover this, both the dogs came and wined at me and I sent them to bed. lol. I'm stunned this is going on, but Kelowna is pretty dang far from QCI for something significantly larger to damage them that far off. I'm glad they are good, and I'm worried as I have family in Tofino, Nanaimo, all along the coast actually what the hell guys. lol

News1130 has a recording up on its site (here) from an earthquake expert out of UBC and he said that because of the magnitude we could be experiencing aftershocks for several days.

Hey, Aftershocks are good. I'll take a whole month of em, if it will relieve the tension in the subduction zones.

I agree. The subduction zone is another area long over due for its big one and if this puts it off any length of time, great.

Yeah, I have a feeling neither of us will be getting much (if any) sleep tonight and a lot of page refreshing. I'm getting water ready just in case and a limited bug out bag with what I have on hand. If anything happens I'm planning on heading into the interior of the province.
