I have epilepsy... Adult onset, starting at 28 years old in Sept of 2006. I had been having what I didn't realize were simple partial seizures for a couple of months until I had a complex partial at work (aka Grand Mal). I have had 2 more complex partials since, and I still have simple partials on occasion. I am well controlled on medication though. I take both Lamictal and Topamax. I can drive. Here in WA State as long as you haven't had a complex partial in 6 months, then you can have your license. Also, I get an aura, sound, and smell signals about 60 seconds before I get a complex, so my neuro says that is enough for me to get a waiver if I need one. It would give me enough time to pull over...
As far as your take on epilepsy being caused from cell phone towers, I can't say I agree with you on that. My husband works on cell towers (he builds them, repairs them, and tests them), and has never had ANY neurological problems. And before you say my problems are caused from my exposure to him, he started his job working on cell towers AFTER I developed epilepsy. Also we have three kids, and none of them have any kind of neurological issues either.
There is also the possibility that you have always had epilepsy, but that you have had no symptoms until now. Especially because it shows on your MRI. You are lucky they were able to diagnose yours that way. They have found no cause for mine, and in 60% of cases, they don't usually find a cause. I have suffered from migraines since I was 8 years old and they said that sometimes that can be a precursor. Topamax is not only a anti-seizure drug, but also a preventative migraine medication. It has definately helped to lessen my migraines since I started taking it as well.
But ultimately, no, I don't think it was caused by the cell towers. My husband has never had any neurological problems from working so closely with the towers, and neither have any of the guys he works with. They don't wear any kind of special clothing or helmets (other than normal construction hard hats) or anything either, so it's not like they have any kind of protection that someone just walking up to the site wouldn't have. Sometimes we just develop medical issues and there's no explanation. Not EVERYTHING is a conspiracy. But I know how traumatizing it was when I first was diagnosed, and how much I wanted to find someone or something to blame it on. It's embarassing... There is so much stigma attatched to it, which is so bizarre seeing as it's the most common neurological disease in the world. Don't let it get you down.
People only know if you want them to, and they only treat it as taboo or negative if you do. The people I've told treat me normal because of how I bring it up and how I explain it, and I only tell people that I think need to know because I'm with them enough that I could have a complex partial when I'm with them.

Try Spurlina and or Kelp it has great healing properties for radiation exposure. Also check out your diet and try to go organic as much as possible make sure you are filtering your water, take whole food vitamins etc. Oh and Cut Dairy products immediately unless they are organic and raw. If you can't find organic raw dairy then cut them out of your diet completely. I would not be surprised if that alone heals you. The same power that created your body has the power to heal it. But if it does not have the proper fuel and nutrients it will struggle. Most of the crap you buy in stores is only marginally food if at all these days.

As said by earlier writer, "Welcome to the club indeed". I am 66 years of age, had Epilepsy since I was 16 years of age. EEG were pretty regular until back in the 90s when they sent me for an MRI. Saw on eventual display sheets, how the main problem is my left Temporal zone. Large Black blob, that I was told, is called an AVM, Arterial Veinous Malfunction. Eventually went to radiographer who carried out further exploratory test etc. They found I have 2 Aneurysm's.

1. Only person to listen to - when it comes to medication - is your Doctor.
2. I did get warnings when a Grand Mal was going to happen, this gave me a chance to lay down flat rather than fall.
3. Married (When I was 17, have 3 sons plus 1 daughter), the problem I have is not, thank GOD, genetic.
Did I let it stop me ????? No, I saw it as a simple lifetime hurdle and although original work was in a Hospital and in the Operating Theatre. I - after getting married - saw a higher means of income on Building sites. Went on to become a Stone-Fixer. Yes I did work high on Scaffolding etc, but that was me, you should simply take advice and besensible. Wish you all the luck in the world, and there's several websites you may wish to join where Real Friend, Useful tips etc, can be found.
Take it easy , and have a nice day now.

If neural problems can be linked to negative reactions to technology or toxins or radiation then I would have to think this is a natural pressure. If humans survive the next thousand years far fewer will die from things like this. If you think about it, this is the way it has always been. Survival of the fittest. The problem with all of this is that it doesn't gaurantee the survival of homo sapien because what if it turns out that cyborgs survive the future better.... or what if it's something even more crazy than that? Evolution doesn't guarantee anything. Work hard is all you can do.

Aren't more and more problems being solved with technology, not natural genetics? This would seem to suggest that the body will eventually be replaced entirely with either engineered dna or synthetic parts/bots. If we can't depend on natural evolution. we have to do it ourselves. But maybe I'm exaggerating somewhat. I doubt we'll be replacing the body anytime soon.

I've heard that natural genetics have a lag of about 10,000 to 20,000 years. In other words, the genetics we have today are representative of the past 20,000 years, not of the past 200. This means that we're not uniquely made for the modern day world and thus suffer various ailments until evolution can catch up. If all this is true, it has probably always been hard for people.

On the reverse side, if things didn't change and evolution caught up with things, we would soon become overly dependent on those particular circumstances. If any change were to occur that was dramatic, it could kill us off rapidly. It's actually a good thing I guess that evolution has a lag. What this really means is it's spreading itself out and being more diverse and not specific.

So the cost of being able to adapt is that we don't have optimum genetics for any specific time period. This means that suffering from random ailments is guaranteed so long as this is the case. But it's probably better to have random ailments than it's to become extinct when something changes.

What we do with technology to remedy these ailments is kind of like how a person suits up in scuba gear and dives into the sea to swim with fish. We do what we can, but it ain't perfect. If it ever becomes perfect then I'd start to worry that we're short-circuiting our ability to survive adversity.

Maybe the sign of a healthy species are these random ailments and imperfect remedies. At first glance, it seems counter-intuitive. But upon deeper review, maybe not.

hello

when i was a baby old 1-2years
i was diagnosed epilepsy, based on some seizure
later they diagnosed a how sometime when i sleep i have contractions,
something like when u burn ur hand and then automaticly unaware hand respond and move it from fire.. i dont know a english word for it so im describing like that.

they always finding that contractions every year for next 15 + - years
and i did not get it what is wrong with me
and doctors and so called specialists.. pump me with pills tegrethol and dyprosine and some other sheyt. and no visible effect.

im takin this sheyt too much, and im tired of it.
so i start to sex and smoking and then year later i go onto same specialists to eeg again..for xxxx time and they find somehing, im better. and ofcourse they say, but...

..hell no. im sic of this sheyt. and im stop to go to doctors and taking this pills and medicines,
i start thinkin wtf is epilepsy.

i researxhin epilepsy for years and what i learned accurate is NOTHING-NOBODY KNOW EXACTLY WTF EPILEPSY IS
EVEN DOCTORS DOES NOT KNOW WHAT IT IS FOR SURE AND WHAT IS CAUSING EPILEPSY!

i learned one fact thst epilepsy is, basicly, u have more electricity in your brain, your brain works on a different way than on normal people. well ok. thats cool.
i learned to use this ability to improve my self, fast learnimg, fast conclusion, fast memory, fast writing, fast spotting details, fast reflexes. etc
Basicly we have superpowers. .. yes.. i sound like a joke, but im not.
Did u know a julius caesar haved epilepsy, and einstein, and nikola tesla, genghis khan, and napoleon bonaparte, beethoven, etc. interesting yes.
Even ancient egiptians recorded a epilepsy, ant is called a gift from gods, or issue of gods.

Epilepsy is not gone comletly until i figure and gettin to know
Who i am, what i want, where to go, realise my thinking and way of thinking, basicly i start do a thing by thing what i loved to do.

Im a IT guy, and i spend a waaay to much in front of computer monitor, and before a waay much in front of television, and what is happened, did i got seizure?NO! IM NOT!
They doctors say alcohol this alcohol that its bad u cynot take it. I TAKE IT AND DRINKIN IT?
i got seizure? NO!

when i learned what epilepsy does.. how fasten and give more power to yourbrain, i start reprogramming my self and also start doing what i love, no matter what other say. ind did im ok and healthy? YES.

From my perspective and expirience its all about you, and your will, and what u want to change. a little things matter much.

Im not been in doctor almost a whole my life, expect that eeg scanning when my dad took me to doctors so they can have fun...
i even success to not to sleep for 34 days straight, i gotten to over fat my self to 150+ kilos and
took down this weight down, i start to speed read, im stronger as never before, im really really strong, i before working as electro install engineer and electricity kick me a bunch of times, etc

..al i want to really say is: its all up to you and your will. reprogramme yourself and dont think it as disease, think about it as a advantage.

..at least. .. ofcourse get some sex u will see considerably change.

At best in short one liner i say: get to know yourself and potential u get from ep.

Dont take this in wrong way, im not lying.
