I noticed this and find it odd. Just want to know why this happens. Here is a good example in this thread: www.abovetopsecret.com...

As you see, Evanzsayz's name is gray. scroll down to Rastus3663's name which is white. under that, Violet's name and info is so dark you can hardly see it.

Is this only happening for me? If not, what causes this? Is it a user setting?

It's a user setting that can be found under tools. Option to change font color in mini profile

Thanks. 3 years on ATS and I never noticed it.

There is a thread about BBCode that will give you the info to change colors and all kinds of other neat stuff:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Experiment, and have fun!

Just a note on this. If you do change your text colour we need it to still be readable, so things like black text on a black background are a no no

You might just win the award for the most quirky member on ATS.

Just out of curiosity....where did you start your format of "Explanation" and "Personal Disclosure"? You are the only person on the whole internet that I have ever seen do that.

Not that I particularly mind. I am just curious.

I've noticed a few members with their text so dark it's barely readable. Example.

What I do to read it is hold the left mouse button, and highlight the entire user profile, just to see who it is.

Explanation: Posting on ATS in the religious forums very early on in my membership forced me to adapt.

It started with a simple disclaimer ... and that was the slippery slope down into the quirky quagmire.

Personal Disclosure: And it now serves me very well in that it uniquely identifies me and I never have to worry about that dreaded 2nd line business.

Edit to add ...

CTRL-A is faster.

Explanation: Also ... Hovering over the member button available on every avatar and then hovering over members profile in the drop down list allows one to see where that links to in the bottom right hand corner of IE.

Personal Disclosure: But as davespanners pointed out it should never have to come down to that.
