What needs to be done.

1. Term limits on everyone, everywhere.
2. Pay for politicians? Gone. It's called being a public servant, suck it up, puddin'.
3. Healthcare for pols? Gone.
4. Retirement package for pols? Gone.
5. Taxes? Everyone ponies up! It'll pay for bridges and military. Everything else? Forget it!
6. Military. YOU hurt us, we turn your country into a fracking parking lot. No more of this "heart and minds" bull poop!
7. Immigration. You want to come here? WHY??? To work? Great. To leach? There's the door, sugarbritches.
8. ACA, Obamacare. SEE-YA! Start treating people, docs. Wanna pay less? Any time a lawyer starts talking, punch them in the throat.
9. Lobbyists. Treat them like 12-point bucks in season. Nuff said.
10. TSA? Gone! DHS? Gone! Go back to freakin "Grope-astan"!!!

Simple solutions for simple problems.

Politicians are the ones that make it complicated.

Ha, awesome.

I posted a very similar plan a few months ago. Only my plan had anyone serving in public office payed minimum wage. I like your idea better. And anyone ever associated with an organization that earns more than $500 mil. A year can never hold a public office.

That's the point.

They're only politicians because it's profitable, if they can't gain anything from it they wouldn't be doing it. You would see all the rats jump ship. Then we might actually get people who will fix stuff.

Would you work all day everyday for free?

I agree they are over paid but still think people deserve compensation.

If they dedicate all their time working for free how do you expect them to support themself?

I think you are missing the point.

Not paying them was Beezzer's idea, not mine. I like it, but it is unreasonable.

The point is that being a politicians is too profitable, and that is why people become politicians these days. I'm sure that someone else can come up with something better. But the general idea should hold. Make sure decisions made while in office are not going to profit the person making the decisions.

If worked out properly it will ensure the people in office are there because they care about serving their community and country, not to benefit themselves and their friends.
