Pakistani intelligence officials believe Abu Faraj al Libbi has risen to the rank of third in command in the Al Qaida organization, and is directing terror cells in the UK and the US. Abu Faraj al Libbi replaces Khalid Sheikh Mohammed as the top operational chief. He is believed to have recently sent coded messages to operatives already in place in Britain and America.

A Libyan hunted by Pakistan because of his senior role in the al Qa'eda terrorist network has taken charge of its sleeper cells in Britain and the United States, Pakistani intelligence officials believe.

Abu Faraj al Libbi, said to have taken over as third in command of al Qa'eda when his mentor, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, was captured last year, has sent coded messages to "several" Islamic militants in Britain over the past 10 months, according to Pakistani officials.

Security officers who have interrogated recently captured militants say that Abu Faraj, who is now believed to be al Qa'eda's top operational chief, masterminded and financed assassination attempts against President Pervez Musharraf, the country's military ruler, last December.

Abu Faraj al Libbi has recently been on the move between Pakistan and the UK. He has been in regular contact with cells located in the US and UK. It is believed that he is now responsible for operational planning and execution.

The regular contact he is having with his operatives may only mean that surveillance is ongoing. But it could be a more dangerous sign that they are about to enter an execution phase.

Hmmmmm,

This is interesting. I wonder if it will have anything to do with the elections.

Well, the US election is upon us, so I think we'll soon know if Al Queda are ready for a US attack. If they are capable of another spectacular in the USA or in Britain, this would be the time for it.

Well if we take in consideration that US and suppousely pakistan had taken away most of Al-qaida high ranking "generals" I guess they have to fill out the holes.

So we better get used to the new names now.
