This image shows what looks very much like a guinea pig, other people have described it as a round tailed ground squirrel which is native to the mojave.

More and more things are pointing to the rover being here on earth.

Since it doesn't move at all, and there is nothing around it to indicate it has moved across the dusty surface at any time, my guess is its a rock with a pit for an eye. The shadows around it are consistent as well and without those shadows I believe the "guinea pig" shape wouldn't look nearly as much like a terrestrial creature...

I'm more interested in the tube objects and changing colored seasonal "green" stuff.

Besides guinea pigs were developed as food anyways, maybe the rover brought it to help colonize.

does look a whole lot like a guinea pig or a ground squirrel but if look really closely you can tell that its two rocks next to each other the smaller rounder rock making up the head.

I gotta admit though that it does look a whole lot like some sort of rodent.

We actually put more than one rover on Mars Amber. Yes, science really made it happen.

You can actually see the same shapes by watching our clouds if you want.

But those are just rocks. Now go to your room!

Since it doesnt move? Its a photo
Would a small mammal make enough of a disturbance to be seen in this image? I dont think it would.

SOL52 is one of a series of pictures taken at JPL during field tests of the Rover

See source at science.ksc.nasa.gov...

Therefore the creature is firmly on this planet.

SOL52 is the 52nd day the rover has been on mars. If that scene was taken from earth, then every single other image from SOL1 to SOL77 are on earth.

Probably a rock but it does look like a guinea pig or a hamster.
In fact the rock to the left looks like the back of a guinea pig.
You can even see its little ears !
