Well, well, well, it seems the rest of the world has had enough of republicans in office. According to a new poll by the BBC the world shows overwhelming support for Obama. I'm happy to see that the intelligence of the planet in a whole seems to be on the up and up, since clearly America is still in love with the empty promises of a mobster type businessman. Anyhow here's how the Major countries stack up,

The countries with the largest pro-Obama majorities were France (72 percent for Obama, 2 percent for Romney), Nigeria (66 percent for Obama, 11 percent for Romney), Canada (66 percent for Obama, 9 percent for Romney), the UK (65 percent for Obama, 7 percent for Romney) and Australia (67 percent for Obama, 6 percent for Romney).
and...
Romney received the most support in Kenya, where he registered an 18 percent approval rating, compared with Obama’s 66 percent. In Poland, Romney was also able to garner a bit more favor, with 16 percent supporting the Republican, compared to Obama’s 34 percent.
also...
Both candidates received relatively low scores in Pakistan, China, Malaysia and Japan.
funny that...
Pakistan was the only country where more respondents wanted to see Romney elected. The Washington Post chalked the discrepancy up to opposition to Obama’s secretive, deadly drone program, rather than support for Romney.

So the world has spoken and clearly they're not looking forward to a republican president anytime in the near future, the numbers are staggering. Obama 2012.

Well, if I ever heard a reason to change my mind and vote for bommy, there it is. If the socialists of the world support bammy, maybe I need to reconsider my position and vote bommy instead of RP or Gary Johnson?

Star for you for doing the research on this information and posting it here. I appreciate the effort

These reports and poll numbers have clinched my decision to vote for Romney. Been on the fence up until now.

Isn't it obvious? Other countries love what has become of America under the socialist regime of the last 4 years. Romney represents the threat of America getting back on it's feet again and becoming the world power that it once was. Of course they will favor Obama- it is in THEIR best interest.

It's not about us not wanting you to be a world power... it's about us not wanting your filthy fingers in business that isn't yours all over the world, including slaughtering innocent men, women and children with your imperialistic army.

Of course it's in the world's interest the USA isn't run by warmongering fools. As to the world power it was (and still is): times are changing.

Apparently many of us care what other countries think. No offense but their isn't much Obama has done that is quote unquote 'socialist', but hey if you'd like to follow the popular dim-witted culture of the republican party I can't stop you. Before you go talking about medicare, remember that Romney started it in MA.

Yeah and I've already anticipated the one liners that will becoming in from the conservative base here. The only dictator i see running for president is Romney since he wants a consolidation of wealth. Hopefully the more intelligent minds prevail here, also funny that Pakistan who was housing Bin Laden is the only one against Obama's 2nd term. Hmmmm makes you wonder.

The BBC is British.

How is that the World?

It's all just those junk-polls you see when you sign out of hotmail, anyway.

Pay no mind.

Our filthy fingers have been called upon numerous times historically by the very countries that cry about it the loudest today. Funny, call your big brother to fight your battles and then curse him after he protected you. America has big shoulders, we are used to that.

Really that's your comment? Apparently you don't understand how polls work... I wish I could delete posts that contribute nothing to the thread. I mean really? Never heard of offices in other countries? Or poll data from other countries news sources? Really?

To some 'socialist' is an insult. But I wouldn't say the Democrats are socialist, commies or whatsoever. The Democrats are more conservative than most of the parties in the Netherlands (apart from some loony minor christian parties and Geert Wilders). It makes clear what a strange country the US is, with half of the people voting GOP.

This is a one liner... the other one was a two liner. Us dimwitted conservatives can count.

It's not only Medicare. It's 46 million Americans on Food Stamps, the dramatic increase of Americans living below the poverty line, the now accurate 8.2% unemployment rate. Make more and more people dependent on the government....sounds "Socialist" to me.

Shocking. To bad you don't scrutinize your party the same way, you may actually learn something. I doubt it though since I've learned nothing from the republican party in 30 years, except that they love money and want more of it all for themselves.

Hahaha and how old are you? Since that also has to do with poll data and your demographic.

I know that in France, the reason Obama has always been popular is because they think he might be attentive to the american people and might turn some energy towards aiding them.

They percieve that the american people are being abused and repressed by corporatism, and the government has been neglectful of protecting them.

The french people I know here who have spent time in the US in the last few years were appalled at the conditions and come back with horror stories that spread around. They are shocked to see 70 year olds cleaning off their table at restaurants, and to find out the price of a simple doctors visit, or the price of the same medicine they get in France (the price triples for the same medicine, same lab, when it is sold in the US).

Even if we have people in this thread claiming other countries in the world are run by tyrants, ironically, many other countries see the Americans as the abused people living in hardship! When my friends ask how the americans can live like that, all I can say is that, for most, they do not know anything else, so they have no awareness of how bad they have it.

Far from seeing Obama as weak or vulnerable, they think he might be strong enough to stand up and face down the tyrants of the people- which the Bushes didn't have enough balls to do. While they were out trying to create an image of being scary to foriegners, they were letting their people get raped at home.

I don't know where I stand on Obama and Romney.... but I wonder, are there americans that like him? I am not being sarcastic, I truly wonder and do not want to offend anyone, but I have a hard time imagining ANYONE actually wanting him for a President....

Well the world see Romney as a Republican and so they relate him to the Bush who managed get everybody to hate us for awhile. Of course we have no idea what Romney would be like. He has been on so many sides of every issue it really is hard to figure out what you wouuld get with him as President. Do you get the pro gun control, pro Obama/Romneycare Govenor? Do you get the hard right Romney of the primaries and the conventions? Or do you get the more center promise you anything Romeny as of late? I guess you pick the version you like and hope that is what you end up with. The world of course does not get that option.
