I predict panic, meltdown and terror on a Y2K scale. No, honestly. I think it could really be that big.

Seriously though, folks. I don't know what is happening out there in the rest of the world, but here in the UK, this isn't even a non-event. At least a non-event has a build-up, a bit of hype, before nothing happens. This doesn't even have that. No-one in work-places, in pubs, on TV is talking about it. There are no newspaper articles about it. It has no more significance than 23rd October 2012 did. And let's face it ... why should it?

I'm surprised that the hype in the media is not similar in the UK to what it is in the US. I mean, its not daily headline news or anything, but its been enough to grab enough attention and have millions believing there's some sort of prophecy the Mayans made related to it (which, to date, niobody has found any evidence of)

My thinking is that you combine the hype, with people's current negative, panicky feelings on things, and there's a recipe for a pretty interesting day. Psychology amd sociology alone indicate an auspicious day - No Nibiru or black hole DNA reprogramming beam necessary.
Well, I'm from the UK and can say that most people where I live are aware of 21/12/12 no matter where I bring the subject up. There's been loads of documentary's on the History channel & Nat Geo about the Mayan calender and end of world scenarios. If I bring 21/12/12 up in a conversation, 90% of the time they will either no of the date or will have seen something either on tv or on the internet. It's a pretty big deal here in the UK too.

For someone as 'enlightened' as yourself you seem to very insulted by my ignorant ass.

You'd think your awareness has giving you the ability to look above such trivial things and base emotions as anger.

Maybe you require further meditation.

I was simply curious as to where you confidence in a coming changes comes from, that's all?

I was merely using self help books as an example. Maybe I should have rephrased.

My my apologies if I insulted you in any way.

I am irritable right now. I won't even pretend I'm not.

You know, I may well come across as harsh on this. When I am otherwise (than harsh), I hear how my views are new age and all that goes with it. I've spent years meditating and receiving a lot of info and making a huge number of connections to things that we aren't even aware of here in these dimensions. I cannot begin to explain the greatest part of this stuff to you. I had to search the depths of my soul to find out my own motives for every single thing I think and do. All of my reactions had to be examined over and over. Only then could things that I had been shown over the years really start to take shape and true understanding take place. To try to explain that to another person *in written words* is just simply impossible. I have not attained god status.

People aren't willing to do the work to get the information. They want someone to come along and put the info in front of them that will somehow convince them of that version of reality being "right" but without any good info at all they dismiss it out of hand and call the person a nutter. If the person has some credentials from an accredited institution then they can spout any form of crap and it won't even be questioned, but when you find it all for yourself, you become cannon fodder. I'm taking the easy way out. I have no credentials. There is no point in questioning me or my version of things. Mine is not yours. Yours is yours. Find it.

Last week I had a major jolt out of the blue. I don't know what it was but it was absolutely jaw dropping. After a while I started to understand. The message, in a nutshell, was "Everything just changed". Now, at face value that doesn't look very profound. Look deeper. I don't know whether that was just for me or for everyone, but things took a very different feel to them after that. And it may well be just me noticing "changed" things, but every day things get stranger to me, as though I am losing my willingness to even accept this version of reality any longer. As far as I'm concerned, this is just over. Maybe I'm not really here anymore.

I really did not and still do not mean to sound harsh or rude in any way. This is all new to me. I have no frame of reference. I can't explain it and I can't relate it yet to anyone.

Just know this: Things are not as they seem to be. Things don't really work the way we believe they do. That's true across the board. Question everything. Question it deeply.

I know what I'll be doing on that date. Trolling trade chat in WoW about how the world is ending right outside of my house.

Howdy Folks...been a while since i visited ATS... just thought I would drop in and say greetings

Here is some information outlining some of the changes now taking place on Earth. Regards JT!

The Birth of Gaia

The changes themselves are already under way for quite some time. They are energetic changes, not so much on a physical 3D level. The Hunab Ku wave signal, on its way to Earth aka Gaia, will open a Stargate. The wavefront will get here by the end of 2012.

In physical terms Hunab Ku (Hunab Ku aka Perseus aka Ouroboros, the Milky Way Serpent who swallows its own tail) is a quasar radio source, also known as Sagittarius A, 'weighting' about 4 million suns and so 40 million kilometers (or 2 light minutes) across and about 25,627 lightyears distant from the core of the Earth.

The changes will result via energy Matrix changing not the planet itself. Gaia's ascension is inter dimensional, not physical.

Changing the rotation and inertia of Earth (geographic pole shifts,..etc) could easily destroy the planet. The higher dimensional envelope is changing (subtly seen in environmental changes).

Energy shift is slowly displacing the old Matrix - this is the ascension. By 2013 it will complete the reconfiguration. Old humanity will be "forced" to either adapt or go crazy. The less "dense" reconfiguration will enable the ET (extra terrestrial ) contact by then. Until that time, ET will only be seen as plasma (white light, orbs..shadows of 4D).

There will be a pole shift, but at the center of the Earth. Its a dimensional 'Opening' or Rupture of spacetime itself as a 'SelfIntersection', of geometry. The wave signal will than bounce back and begin transmitting all the gathered data from Noospehre aka Akashic Records aka... to the entire universe.

I think he meant the wii u, which looks pretty bad ass, and something I'll be enjoying when (or if) the world doesn't end.

I don't know much about it other than Assassin's creed 3 will available on it, so it's gotta be pretty good.

As difficult as it may be to believe for those who frequent this website and other similar venues, the "2012" thing is not at all something that most people seem to be giving any thought to. It is not a mainstream thing.

Among those who do believe - or hope - that something will happen I think there will be suicides. But not because of suicide cults (although there may be those too), and not out of fear, but rather out of disappointment.
There are many people whose only hope, if you can call it that, is some sort of cosmically induced "reprieve", because they simply cannot - or feel they cannot - help themselves.
They have nothing, or very little, to lose or to live for, so when nothing happens, they may well decide to end life themselves.

While I don't believe anything at all will happen, I do understand the feelings of such people.
And that's why I couldn't possibly laugh at anyone who will be sorely disappointed in the next few months.

Well, it will be a Friday night, so there is a good chance we will go to a movie. That, or sit home wrapping Christmas gifts, and watching something there.

Seriously, I don't expect anything except a lot of panicking people, some of whom will do something really stupid that will be all over the news. Now, that isn't to say I don't think that at some point, some "end of the world" scenario could take place (end as it is now), but I don't think anyone can place a date on that.
