It will be impossible for anyone who hasn't heard of the "idea" of 2012 to not pause at least for a moment and really consider why they believed what they believed. And then be forced to look at everything in the light of:

Why "did I" or "didn't I" *insert greatest joy here* before metaphorical *last second on the clock*?

Even just for a moment.

This is the biggest thing I keep coming to...assuming "nothing major" happens on a grand scale, I feel like I should still be trating this as an opportunity to conntemplate and to live a "last day on Earth" (even if its really not) - its really got me thinking, and not because I expect doom, but because I think we really should think that way sometimes. "If I was running out of time, what would I be doing now? How would I react to "x"? Who would I be spending my last moments with? Its actually a really great exercise, at least to contemplate and teach oneself a thing or three about what's what.

Considering your story - in order for you to witness it you need to what? believe in it?

How can you trust whether its real or not if you had to convince yourself in the first place?

yep, there's no change going on with the sun, spitting out new particles that will effect the human body. and no way can the sun effect human consiousness!

there's definitely nothing going on with our slave system/fractional banking system.. and its impossible for it to be a pyramid scheme designed to be collapsed at a certain point in time!!

there is no evidence what so ever that the powers that want to remain are using the mayan great cycle to time their plans to!!

there's no evidence of human and planet earth evolution speeding up!!

there's no evidence of ufo sightings on the increase!!

there's no evidence of the powers that want to remain needing to start world war 3 for various reasons!!

yep,, everything is looking rosey.. our thoughts and actions have created an amazing planet for future generations so far!! nothing to see here, no dots to connect!!

on a serious note.. for me the whole 2012 thing, the 20 years before 21/12 and 20 years after is a period of change that can be used for a positive potential, for us human beings.. but, the powers that shouldn't remain will try and catalyses this period of time for their greed and negativity,, but to do this they rely on the masses ignorance and fear!! wecreate.com

It's not a matter of convincing yourself. It's more a matter of opening your eyes to the programming and assimilation you've undergone for the entire duration of your life and shaking that off. If you cannot and will not wake up and see what is *really* happening all around you, you will not be either able to *feel* all that is going on around you.

Let me say that enlightenment is a process. It does not end. You do not reach a place called "Enlightenment" and it's all over. There is simply no way to become that aware while in this human meat suit. That alone restricts what you can perceive. But it is even more restricted by your own will to remain under the glaze of "ensheepment".

No one can wake you up. You have to be able to receive the information. You don't have to hear it from others: It comes straight into your heart and mind. You don't need to join any movements or take any action other than to bit by bit come to a place of understanding that *things are not as they seem to be*.

My own process began many years ago. I didn't have to wake up then. But I couldn't deny the high strangeness of a lot of things going on around me. Others in my sphere also woke up but in a somewhat different fashion. We all have our own ways and that's exactly as it should be. We all have different paths to walk, different lives to live.

These changes are already in force. It's not a matter of deciding to go on as things were. You can resist but the world around you is changing and it will continue to do so. The only difference is your perception of it. If you choose to see things as being the "same old same" then that is most definitely what you will see. Functionally you can thwart participating in these changes for the rest of your life, and if your ego investment is that heavily sewn up in doing just that, it is probably what you must do. But understand that it will get harder and harder to hold onto that illusion.

This brings to mind a family I knew when I was in junior high school back in the 70s. They were all stuck firmly in the 50s. I mean right down to hairstyles for the kids and all. If that's what you must have to feel happy and secure, then that's what you must have. No one will begrudge you that. But this ain't the 50s anymore.....

Okay, I understand. . .

. . . but your example is referring to social-cultural changes which is a normal occurrence and this thread is referring to sudden drastic change in all avenues of human life.

Your saying those who haven't set themselves on the path of "enlightenment" will unfortunately not be a part of this coming change and is also the reason as to why they are incapable of seeing glimpses of it.

Programming? If you are referring to you social conditioning than yes - I'm aware of that. So why am I incapable of witnessing any of these "glimpses"? Does that mean I'm just fated to stay behind?

My opinion on it is that absolutely nothing of any significance will happen.

And if it does how will you know it's not the because of your own perspective - much like the family stuck in the 50s it's possible to convince or make yourself believe that there has been some change; even though, in reality there has been no change.

How do you know you view is correct and that you are on the right path of enlightenment? Or that you haven't been indoctrinated by self help books and those who hide behind a veil of enlightenment but feed the people bs?

I'm just saying the fact that you believe in something could also be the reason as to why you perceive it. Doesn't mean it is real or happening.
