Free college education for everyone, Jill? And just how the hell do we pay for that??

Because everything's free, but everyone works. It's sorta socialism. The Green Party is a bit more socialist and liberal than the Democrats.

I'm really excited about this debate. Even if you are a diehard Dem or Rep I encourage you to drop in and lend these 'minor' candidates an ear. You just might like what you hear. The establishment duopoly has such a strangle-hold on American politics. We need fresh ideas. Let's Discuss!

The debate begins at 9pm EST and you can watch it HERE
I also hear that C-SPAN, Aljazeera English and RT are also carrying it.

Debating are:
Gary Johnson - Libertarian Party
Jill Stein - Green Party
Rocky Anderson - Justice Party
Virgil Goode - Constitution Party

I wouldn't mind it either. Nor would I mind free food, free shelter, free glitter and sunshine for all the days of my life. But c'mon we live in the real world. I understand her idealistic sentiments. In a world where everyone had their priorities right her socialist ideas might work. But this is the real world where[snipped] up. We need real solutions, not pie-in-the-sky hopes and wishes.

I am so glued to the screen, and interested in what these folks are saying, that it is difficult to post thoughts..

didn't have that problem with the MSM debates

Rocky Anderson just called Ron Paul his hero! A man after my own heart.
So far he and Gary Johnson have more or less agreed on everything (correct me if I'm wrong.) Stein is too far left and Goode, too far right for my tastes...I do appreciate his candor though.

what I meant by free edu
was when you bail out "big businesses banks and such "
that money could have went to education
honestly I'm a little to old now to go to school, no time to either

I know what you meant. That's why I said that when people (that includes gov't) get their priorities straight then maybe this can be realized. Unfortunately, we as a society are not there yet.

I think I would have also liked to see the exact same question asked to the "other 2 "

even the "hypothetical question"

That was a fast hour and a half. I feel cheated by Larry King.

But I like what the candidates said; unfortunately none of these candidates have a chance for the Presidency nor is America prepared for a President like Gary Johnson or Rocky Anderson. I just hope there's enough votes casted that are missing from the other guys' counts. More than likely though, our votes for these people will just be glossed over. Unless we occupy the vote!

What a wonderful experience watching these 4 candidates..

No wonder the machine doesn't want their voices heard.

Overall, each one was vibrant, and voiced opinions on issues that I have seen here on ATS since I joined in 04..

I personally leaned towards Johnson & Goode for the most part, but was impressed by Johnson, and Stein..

They announced another debate in Washington DC next week.. I believe.. if so.. that's great..

I want to hear more from these folks..

I was just thinking the exact same thing. In fact, Obama and Romney were both invited to participate in this debate and both declined.

And I just want to say, even though it's annoying, I'm thankful freeandequal.org is crashing right now due to too much traffic, I hope!

It happened to me too. About a third into the debate I had to switch to the CSPAN stream because the ORA stream slowed to a snails pace. I was annoyed but also happy. The more, the merrier.

Gary Johnson owned it tonight. By applause you could tell he was the favorite, and throughout all of this he was sick as a dog! That is a man I want to lead this country.

Oh man, I'm pumped up by watching this debate among four very brave Americans, willing to stand up for what they believe in, in the face of incredible odds against them.

Gary Johnson is my man, he still has my vote, but I have a new admiration for Jill Stein, Rocky Anderson, and even Virgil Goode, although I did disagree with his stance on the drug war.

It was awesome....these candidates were truthful, passionate about their beliefs, and not afraid to say what so desperately needs to be said.

I watched it on LinkTV, and it was brought to them courtesy of Al Jazeera. Un-freaking-believable, that Al Jazeera has to film this debate for LinkTV, because our mainstream media are a bunch of worthless, bought-out cowards.

I wasn't going to vote at all, but after seeing this, I'm going out and voting for Mr. Johnson.
