Okay, about three years ago, I took a trip to Washington, DC.

I have since then forgotten what the name of the hotel I stayed in was named, but two days ago, I stumbled onto something incredible.

I was looking through my old pictures from the trip, and I came across this:

Notice that above and to the left of the Television, there is a strange orb-thing, and one thing that you're all not likely to believe...

The television wasn't on. This was the way the room appeared just as I was entering it for the first time (Yeah, I'm a SUPER tourist, I know.)

Any thoughts on what we're seeing here?

Please note:

I just scanned this photo in to the computer today.

Just thought I'd tell you all that it is not a digi cam pic, but is from my regular cam.

Rancid...I know what you're thinking. But I haven't accumulated my ATS points with lies, and I sure as heck haven't made over 1300 posts of BS.

I don't know what the message on the television is, I can only make out the I as well..

I'm really looking for some sort of explination, please help.

But there is something suspicious about the picture and how it blurs in the upper half. I've have to take a closer look when I get back home this eve.

If you can't remember the hotel how can you be so sure that the TV was on or off. I have entered rooms where the TV was accidently left on by the housekeeper.

And why this picture and not one of the bed?

One simple answer...

It was part a suite where it was agreed that I was going to sleep on the couch...which you can partially see the end of in the right of the picture...

The beds were in the next room.

I'm sure the TV wasn't on because I remember that this picture was taken as we were entering the room, and was taken before anyone had turned the television on.

OK. If you are not sure of the name of the hotel then how can you be so sure the TV was not on?

Also what was the reason for taking this picture instead of one of let's say the bed?

How come you can remember what you had for dinner 5 days ago but cant remember what your mom told you to do 5 minutes ago?

ok besided bashing, more importantly why does it appear that there's a green LED on the tv? and what Is that to the left of the tv, could it be a camera?

Orb = speck of dust on or close to the lens....

TV Oddity = flash causing some reflection on the tv screen...the writing is either on the tv screen or on a window reflected in it (more likely), and was likely done when the surface was dusty...since then it was washed off, but just a cursory wipe, and the oils were still there...but was more visible in the flash...

Just my thoughts on it....

That's....a good explination...

And completely feasible. I'll do some research in order to mollify evecasino as to the name of the Hotel.

Thanks for the input, Gaz.

Looks like light reflecting off the TV, maybe your flash or just a light in the room, either way it looks like a reflection

OK. So when you entered the room for the first time those pillows and blanket were just thrown on the sofa bed as we see them. This in a suite?

I am not doubting I am just trying to figure it out.

I think it says

I

Here you go, evecasino.

Click the link for more info on the hotel, the Tyson's Westpark Hotel

Took a minute, but I found it. I was staying in room 227, in case you wanted to check up on me.

When I'm on vacation, I sometimes take a pic of the room I'm staying in but only if its worth taking a pic of.

I probably wouldn't take a pic of that one. It's too ugly.

I dunno, maybe a cheaply made tv can leave afterimages after its been shut off. I remember vaguely someone who had a really old tv that did that.

Why the hostility? I asked a few simple questions. Should only those that agree that it is paranormal respond? They were fair questions.

1) There are lots of reflections on the screen, below the tv, and the table.
2) Looks like a scene from Pirates of the Caribbean (letterbox edition) just before Jack Sparrow steals the Dauntless. The I on the left looks like one of a couple of ship masts.
3) The tv LED is green suggesting on.
4) Image blurs as you go up. There's a green blurry something on top of the entertainment center so it looks to me like a smoke-alarm or something of the sort.

I know nutzing, but these are the think of when I look at it.

Peace, love, and soul.

Just a coupla thoughts:

The 'orb' looks like a water-spot or some other kind of 'non-digital' camera glitch. It also could be something on the wall. The 'message' looks to me like "I Want My...?", and there seems to be a female figure on the right 'holding' the message. Whatever it is, my guess is that the TV was on. Also, how do you know that this photo was taken at that hotel? It may have been taken in a different place at a different time.

Not to put a downer on t but id say thats just dust you have either caught on film or scanned in so then it looks like an orb. On the other hand it could be a ghost lol.

I know exactly when and where this photo was taken, because I took it myself during the february of 2002, at the Tyson's Westpark Hotel, just outside of DC.

The orig. of the photo has the orb, and the picture was taken before Pirates of the Carribean, anyhow.

As for the led, I'm not sure why it's on, but I know that the television wasn't.
