Romney is right isn't he? or is this just semantics?

cause Syria has access to the MED.

last time I checked the Mediterranean was a Sea.

And how are they gonna get from Iran to Syria in the first place?

If they're both bad....then why is the title about Romney, by name and only him, failing?

Because the picture is about Romney. Do you want me to name it 'Obama fails commander in chief' when it's about Romney? That's the silliest argument I've ever seen, that's what the tread is about so that's what I named it.

Anyway, I'm not American so I don't care much.

It's 100% about Romney because you sat down, had a choice and made that choice. You could have looked around, found out more about the story or shown the other side to demonstrate the balance you claim to have in this situation.

Instead, your choice was to use the picture of Romney you located, you framed how you chose to and you wrote a Bash-Romney thread about.

No biggy..beyond the near deafening rush of such things recently and entirely one sided about Romney and Obama both, to each thread pursuing either of them on these technical B,S, points. .......and in this case? Romney was talking about something no one, anywhere, should find humor about. Certainly not to use for cheap political shots. All just my opinion on things..

People are dying..right now...as we are warm at home...in Syria. Nothing about that horrible thing is political points and this has only begun for the long term.

Wow, desperation must be setting in, especially since the attacks are of a serious matter and nothing to ridicule.

The image clearly shows one has to go through the other to get to the sea, so he probably just got the names reversed.
That alone is impressive, considering his forte is the economy at home.

The same way that contingent of Iranian Revolutionary guards got through.

Not to mention most intelligence operators have safe routes through most countries.

Plus there were a few Iranian-Iraqi proxy forces operating in Iraq that would be more then happy to escort whatever's needed through that way.

The problem for them is western intelligence is all over the place in Iraq, Turkey and now Syria as well as the SpySat's in the sky, so you're correct that they couldn't really mobilize a force in that direction but that's not a primary focus in the event a war breaks out.

The Iranians don't really have a need for access to the Med so this whole thing is essentially a political diversion for Romney.

(sigh) I guess everyone missed the stories I posted last page about the multi-billion dollar Gas pipeline Tehran has settled and closed the deals on running from the Gas terminals of Iran, through Iraq (They aren't enemies....not these days) and on across Syria to terminate in Lebanon with outlet on a Syrian Medterannean Port.

It's the first.....EVER....Pipeline running a clean shot from the Caspian Sea to the Med. First. Ever.

Now.... Some people may think that round trip from the Eastern Med all the way down and around into the Persian Gulf is just pocket change for Fuel, passage fees through the Suez (twice) and time taken opposed to a SYRIAN terminal right there for the asking....but I am sure the Oil/Gas and Shipping lines disagree.

The pipeline isn't the ONLY thing going on, but it alone would be enough to cause major tension in the area in the best of times. It's not a PROPOSED pipeline. The deal has been formally signed. It's Done.

Now.... that's not Romney propaganda and Obama better address it AFTER the election (if he wins) when I'll STILL not be laughing about a single bit of it.
