I thought I would bring this article to the attention of the ATS community considering the amount of 'feeling something about to happen' comments that are frequently posted.

Can Your Body Sense Future Events Without Any External Clue?
www.sciencedaily.com...

"What hasn't been clear is whether humans have the ability to predict future important events even without any clues as to what might happen," said Julia Mossbridge, lead author of the study and research associate in the Visual Perception, Cognition and Neuroscience Laboratory at Northwestern.

...

This phenomenon is sometimes called "presentiment," as in "sensing the future," but Mossbridge said she and other researchers are not sure whether people are really sensing the future.

"I like to call the phenomenon 'anomalous anticipatory activity,'" she said. "The phenomenon is anomalous, some scientists argue, because we can't explain it using present-day understanding about how biology works; though explanations related to recent quantum biological findings could potentially make sense. It's anticipatory because it seems to predict future physiological changes in response to an important event without any known clues, and it's an activity because it consists of changes in the cardiopulmonary, skin and nervous systems."

The study, "Predictive Physiological Anticipation Preceding Seemingly Unpredictable Stimuli: A Meta-Analysis," is in the current edition of Frontiers in Perception Science. In addition to Mossbridge, co-authors of the study include Patrizio Tressoldi of the Università di Padova, Padova, Italy, and Jessica Utts of the University of California, Irvine.

My questions are....

What quantum biological findings could possibly explain this phenomenon?

Does this work in accordance with our sensory systems via stimuli, or is this a whole different thing?

Is this somewhat related to the behavior of animals, especially of dogs.... such as them moving around in anticipation just before an owner returns home or natural disasters?

Does anybody have any theories that they'd like to propose about how this may work?

Hypothetical:

Is it possible for a future event of such great importance and impact.... that all of humanity will be instantly aware of it's coming with out actually having knowledge of said event?

That's exactly what I was referring to.

Your subconsciousness had all the neccessary bullet points in order to draw a conclusion.

"can your body sense future events without and external clue"

Firstly, there is no such thing as the "future" in the sense it hasn't occurred yet. past, present and future exist simultaneously. EVERYTHING is happening in the present, happening NOW, we only experience time linearly thus our interpretation of past and future. All events and possibilities in existence are fundamentally static.

Secondly, everything in existence is interconnected with itself. Everything is apart of the "source", *YOU* ARE THE UNIVERSE and the universe is you. You are connected to the most distant star as if space never existed. So to say "without any EXTERNAL clue" wouldn't be true.

Thirdly, (linearly speaking) when you Sense future events (like many people have) all you are doing is resonating your vibration at the same frequency as the future events vibration in a paralel earth. If your vibration stays the same and the energy doesn't change, what you 'sensed' will occur.

Its determined by *YOUR* core vibration. what ever that vibration is *YOUR* reality will manifest instantly to match it. Reality is literally a mirror, what you put out is what you get back.

Fred Alan Wolf stated that the quantum wave of probability is true and that there are two, hence the 2nd degree in the calculation of were a particle will most probably be. There are on the other hand physicists that just think that the wave is virtual and needed for the model.

I like Wolf's idea. He also stated that at the interface of the two waves, one from what we call the past and one from what we call the future, the now is located. This now needs to be consistent with that particular past and that particular future.

I am a poker player. My GF is intuitive. She tells me the days and times to play in the Indian casino down the road from us, for when lady luck will smile on me. She has never been wrong. How would you explain this?
