Which is more powerful, A drawing of art or a sound of art?
The sound is always more powerful. Yes it has changed countries. It has motivated people to do the impossible.
But who plays it, is very important. If the person was someone that only wish for despair in any form ( sorry if this sounds like I'm dishing it out on rock stars, rap stars and the such) then people will be not be very motivated or will feel very down.
If it was from someone let's say Beethoven, people will making leaps and bounds in everything (Listened to his work at my work and I feel a whole lot better than listening to a heavy metal artist in any shape or form)
Gaza is a war zone that the people of Gaza do not want. A radio talk show host went there and aired there. He said they were the nicest people ever.
The people of Gaza are not terrorist, the real terrorist is Israel and all those who want power in any shape or form such as controlling people.

So TIRED of this. Other countries have their rules and their ways for reasons. REASONS.
Who are we to tell other countries what they should and should not do?
THIS is one of the reasons WHY we have so much stupid war and bloodshed.
If you live there and have issue, take it up.
If you do NOT live there and have issue, OH WELL.
but I am SO STINKING TIRED of seeing other countries bashing other countries for not doing what the other country deems 'correct'. It IS correct - for that other country.

Yes, that's right folks...musical instruments are used for terrorism.
One of the many things that are banned from Gaza with the savage blockade that it's inhabitants are subjected to on a daily basis are musical instruments.
Import of goods into the Gaza Strip is limited as part of the 2007–present blockade of the Gaza Strip imposed by Israel and Egypt. Israel allows limited humanitarian supplies from aid organizations into the Gaza Strip. Humanitarian organizations, including UN agencies, bring goods into Gaza. As of May 2010, they have brought in, according to the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories of the Israel Defense Forces, 1.5 million liters of diesel fuel and gasoline, fruits and vegetables, wheat, sugar, meat, chicken and fish products, dairy products, animal feed, hygiene products, clothing and shoes.[1]
Cement, wood, iron, cattle, animal medicine, musical instruments, notebooks were among the items banned before June, 2010.[2]

Even the Nazis allowed musical instruments in concentration camps.

This blockade and it's restrictions are beyond lunacy and the people of Gaza need to stop being treated like animals. The Zionists in Israel give the rest of it's inhabitants a bad name.
Even many Israelis believe the blockade to be unjust and worthy of protest:
(This article is a couple years old but proves my point)
Israelis protest Gaza blockade
Hundreds of Israelis have rallied in central Tel Aviv to protest against the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Arab and Jewish activists marched on Saturday in the city's Rabin square, chanting slogans and waving signs calling for "Freedom and Justice in Gaza".
The protesters demanded Israel end the blockade, deeming its continuation a "war crime", the AFP news agency reported.
The Gaza Strip has been under an Israeli blockade since 2007 when Hamas seized power in the territory.

Yes, there are angry Gazans who are shooting rockets into Israel and are not helping anyone in the process but that does not mean the children of Gaza and the rest of it's citizens should suffer.edit on 22-10-2012 by Corruption Exposed because: (no reason given)
"Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Monday Israel has no roots in the Middle East and should be - would be "eliminated" as a barbaric Zionist political entity

Another Israel bashing thread. Great!!! Just what the world needs right now to promote peace! If you are so much for peace why do you present your argument in a war like tone? I smell the "H" word! LOL!
Hmmmm says it all. We all know who the real warmongers are and it is not Israel.
The Gaza Music School (GMS) was established in response to growing demand for music education voiced by children and parents who attend the Qattan Center for the Child (QCC) in Gaza City, one of the A. M. Qattan Foundation’s main projects. It is a unique project and is the only place for children to learn music in the Gaza Strip.
The school specialises in Arabic instruments such as the Kanoun and the Oud but also teaches Western classical music theory and a number of instruments. The school was destroyed during the conflict with Israel in January 2009 – but was immediately rebuilt and opened again to students in April 2009. In 2010 it counted 52 students and in 2011, the number reached 87 students.
The number of students by April 2012 was 125 students learning music and 9 oriental and classical instruments. Visit here to learn more about this inspirational project You can support the GMS in a number of ways. If you are an artist or musician you could organise a concert tour in Gaza, offer an invitation to a Palestinian group to perform or study in the UK, or host a benefit concert. If you are a music teacher, you could think of giving some of your time to support the staff in the GMS. Alternatively if you are able to contribute instruments or notation or donate funds these are most welcome.
