David Richter, the president of Hill International (HIL), a mid-sized outfit that manages construction projects, was speaking last year at a private meeting with investors when he was asked about the recent success of his newest subsidiary, HillStone International.

How was it that HillStone, a newcomer in the business of home building, landed a massive and potentially lucrative contract to build 100,000 homes in war-torn Iraq?

Richter didn’t mince words. It really helps, he said, to have “the brother of the vice president as a partner,” according to a person who was present.

The “brother” Richter was referring to during the meeting is James Biden, the younger brother of Vice President Joe Biden.

That's interesting that this dude would come right out and admit it. Not sure if it's ballsy or just a way of showing contempt for the unwashed masses.

It's amazing that there aren't any anti-nepotism policies in place in awarding government contracts. I imagine someone else's baby brother was a business partner in one of the defense companies that were involved in turning Iraq into said war torn country.

The Ying and the Yang in full effect if you will.

That's how Politics works. It's not what you know, it's who you know. Good Old Boy network feeds it's self first, and foremost. It started in ancient Rome, or before, continues to this day....

HillStone was founded in 1976 I would hardly say they are newcomers. FOX screwed up on that one. They are considered one of the top ten outfits in the country. They have worked with the government on several projects like the U.S. Supreme Court Building modernization, the Comcast Center in Philadelphia, the World Trade Center Site Downtown Restoration Program and the creation of Palm Islands, man-made, palm tree-shaped islands in the Persian Gulf.

It isn't the company that is new to construction. This is being misreported here. It is James Biden who has little to no construction experience yet has been hired as the executive vice president.

Biden was hired and therefore his company got the lucrative contract.

James Biden was hired on as the executive vice president less than two years ago, despite little if any documented work history in residential construction -- or anything else for that matter. The company was awarded the lucrative government contract only six months later. Already worth over $7 million, Biden stands to make millions off the deal with the Iraqi government. Including the latest evidence uncovered today, former NYC prosecutor and mayor, Rudy Giuliani lays out how the money flowed into the Biden family from other country governments and corporations within those countries.

Very enlightening and eye-opening!

that's just like halliburton/ brown and root, doing laundry, food service, shelter and transportation during the iraq war. a frickin oil company doing laundry and cooking. on a contract that was a closed bid.
it really helps when the vp use to be the CEO, of the only company allowed to bid.
