They can’t stop everyone from recording at the moment of an event. But that does not matter since the ones they want are the one that are posting anything that might make them look bad. They’ll just trying hunting them down.

It makes since that this kind of law was coming. With the protests that have been happening the police there have been getting a lot of camera time, and not in a good way. I remember when the news was down playing or not reporting the protests at all. But normal citizens were recording the events and posting. Soon others got wind and the news had to report something, but they tried spinning the reports. Which cause a backlash from the people at had reported on the protest be for the news had. Now they’re trying to pass a law that may not prevent people from recording, but will let them hunt down people that do.

This law is just like many passed today. It’s not to protect the citizens from the corrupt; it’s to protect the corrupt from the citizens.

I think it's much better to allow people to shoot with cameras, lest they decide it's time to start shooting with something else. But if that's the way they want to roll over there, then it's likely those who made that decision will deserve what is coming to them.

We'll see whether or not that's the case sooner or later, but knowing how previous history has gone...
