Chernobyl Exclusion Zone... A Haven For Wildlife

The so called dead zone around the nuclear power plant is lush, green, healthy and full of thriving animal populations. Apparently the absence of human beings is more beneficial to nature than radiation is harmful to it.

Well, what a nice piece of propaganda.

In fact, no where else in the world, animals and plants have more cancer, deformations, malformed organs and DNA-damages than in the "death zone".

Of course, many animals live there ... but they are ill. Not healthy at all. ><

And the dangerous problems in small parts of destroyed DNA will come out in 10, 20, ... 100, 200 years. And at this point, certain groups of animals wont be able to reproduce. They will extinct.

Even if they look healthy and lucky now.

Think about it!

Another test subject is required ,Unfortunately we have Fukushima to see what happens there in 30 years ,or Mururoa Atoll seems to be not to harmful to animals ,more so humans

The wildlife in the zone is definitely thriving under the radiation.

There are also small pockets of people that live in houses, inside the 'exclusion' zone. Of these people are senior citizens who tell doctors they feel healthier and more energetic when they are at home, compared to being outside the exclusion zone (shops and doctors..)

The Forrest beside the reactor where the rubble was buried is highly radioactive at ground level, at head height it is still strong, but a fraction of the ground readings. The tree's and foliage around this area is noticeably wilted and darker in color.

Now, your not allowed to eat anything that comes from this zone, which is why the catfish in the cooling ponds are pretty spectacular.

I imagine but, all the animals must have a shorter life expectancy.. and some probably have quite obvious deformities.

Now seriously... nature has this nasty habit of taking back whats rightfully hers

And I would like to see that proof that animals there are sick and have cancers and whatever... since pretty much no one goes there besides the curious reporter, let alone test the animals...

May life seize control of Chernobyl! A place that was the death of so many men, its now a safe haven for nature... and we still think we can destroy this planet? The planet will heal itself no matter what we do... now about us, if the planet decides it had enough, we are not so... indomitable.

We better start worrying more about our continuity as a species (and rethink all those wars and conflicts we're so keen on) than with something thats been around for 4.5 billion years and survived a lot worse than us little humans.
