Swastika Found On Obama Campaign Office In Colorado

A swastika was found painted on the window of President Barack Obama's campaign office in a Denver, Colo., suburb late Thursday.

The black Nazi symbol was found by building owners painted outside a window of the office, located in the Denver suburb of Conifer, 9News.com reported. The office opened recently in the Jefferson County hamlet.

It's unfortunate that things come down to things like this.

The anti-Obama rhetoric coming from Fox News and other right wing outlets have driven people to commit ugly and disgusting acts such as this. I expect people to call Obama all kinds of names on the internet, but when it crosses over into real life, we have a problem.

But it's not like it is the first time something like this has happened.

In 2009 during a Tea Party rally held to oppose the stimulus package on the day Obama signed the bill, a participant waved a sign bearing a swastika in the "O" of Obama's name. The sign holder had a picture taken with conservative activist Michelle Malkin and was reportedly on stage when then-state Senate Minority Leader Josh Penry (R-Grand Junction) spoke.

Now, when right wing personalities and politicians encourage this type of behavior and don't condemn it, what should we expect?

People like to blame Obama for dividing this country, but from day one it has been Fox News and the Right Wing trying to demonize Obama to get people to hate him and to hate anyone that supports him.

They have driven people into such a hate filled frenzy, we have people making death threats over supporting Obama.

The swastika incident occurs two weeks after an Obama supporter in Tulsa, Okla., who had an Obama sign on his lawn reported receiving a death threat from a neighbor. Kyle Counts, a 27-year-old law student, told HuffPost that the neighbor engaged him an argument after seeing the sign and then yelled the threat, which was captured on video.

It's one thing to disagree with policies, it's another to allow personal hate to fill your hearts.

I disagree with Romney, I don't think his policies are good for the middle class or the poor of this country. But I don't hate him, I don't think he is a Nazi or an evil man. I don't think he is hitler or a nazi. I don't think he wishes to do harm to this country. I just simply disagree with what he thinks will make this country stronger.

So why must we have the Obama is a socialist, nazi, muslim, Kenyan, homosexual, traitor rhetoric every single day?

Very unfortunate this happened. I hope they find whoever did it and prosecute them to the fullest. It's ok to joke around and have a spirited election campaign but some things just need to be left alone. There is zero tolerance for this sort of action.

Calm down.

Your side does the same thing, from slashing tires, keying cars, threats of riots, and threats against Romney's life if he is elected.

I agree.

Things have just gotten out of hand. People are moving this from politics to personal hate.

The same thing happened last time, but McCain had the integrity to step in and calm people down. Hopefully Romney will find it in him to do the same.

But with his own son saying he wants to punch Obama in the face, my hopes aren't that high.

How?? By taking away the freedom of speech next??

Yeah you are right, why not take away more of American liberties because of things like this??

Do I disagree with this?? YES.......Should this person get in trouble?? No......There is a thing called the BILL OF RIGHTS to protect us from this kind of thinking....

So, yes it is wrong.....Yes I disagree.....But that's all the further it needs to go IMO

Ok, and if you want to provide specific examples of that and the rhetoric from left wing sources that encourage that, I'll condemn them.

All the twitter idiots talking about riots and assasinations, they should all be investigated, I have no problem stating that.

So, balls in your court, what do you think of this event?

You are the one that called vandalism and destruction of private property free speech.

Really don't have to explain anything to you.

You wouldn't get it anyway.

At this point of the campaign it would not surprise me at all if this wasn't done by the Dems themselves .... really. Nothing it seems is below them to fear monger and distract in their losing campaign of Hype and Blame

This happens, because Obama is pushing groups of people against each other.
Instead of trying to get people to work together for the same good cause!

He didn't try like JFK to get us up in space.
He didn't try like MLK to get people to respect each other.
He didn't try like Reagan to get the country back on track.

He's done nothing but alienate people!

I'm guessing that Tagg Romney was doing a little "tagging" to get some revenge on Obama...

Ooooooh! I get to be first this time.

Who's to say it wasn't an Obama supporter trying to gain support because the Obama campaign is tanking?

What do you have that would suggest this was done by the Dems?

Are you denying that rhetoric from the Right often drums up hate of Obama? Calling him a socialist, a nazi, a traitor?

I get so sick of this deflection and excusing behavior like this. It's just as bad as you going to paint the swastika yourself when you defend these types of actions.

It's just ironic that whenever something is done to Obama, even though there is hateful rhetoric flying all over the place from the right, that the right always defends the action and claims it was done by a Dem.

It's just dishonest and defending disgusting behavior.
