Cool site. I uploaded the original photo and here is what I got:

That can't be what you got. Go back and look at it. Why does it look like a negative when I open the pic in there?

I'd have to agree with you, looks to much like a "cut and paste" job, a poor one at that.. Just my opinion.

I looked at the properties on the original and the EXIF Version is 0230. What does this mean?

It looks like a darth vader cut out standing behind some dude trying to look bad for a picture.

But that's just my opinion...

Reminds me of when I would sneak up behind my mom in a dark costume when she was giving out candy for Halloween and would watch the kids scream and run away...lol

Had to stop doing that because it scared the little kids to bad

thats just the EXIF version...
www.awaresystems.be...

The EXIF data should show a whole heap of info if it was taken with a digital camera, like camera model, shutter speed, f-stop, ASA, et al.

If this was taken with a film cameran and then scanned, the EXIF would not give much

I only mentioned EXIF because it seems it the first thing ATSres ask for when presented with an image to verify.

Gotcha. I uploaded the original digital file that was sent to me to FotoForensics this is the metadata that it listed. Keep in mind that the site has a 5mb upload limit, so I had to make the image size smaller in photoshop.

My kids are watching Scooby as I am reading this thread.

The ghost photo looks totally fake and they would have gotten away with it if it weren't for these pesky eyes....
edit on 19-10-2012 by seen2much because: I bumped into my computer as I was writing and had to rewrite a word when I finally realized what I had done. I thought of leaving it as it is but I then became ashamed at just how sedentary I had become.

Don't shoot the messenger, but it looks staged, and fake, to me. However, I do believe in ghosts, or spirits, or whatever you would like to call them.

He should have at least cut out two eye-holes! This is why pictures do not help but hurt our cause.

Can we please stop using the term "photoshopped", its not even a word. If you want to say an image has been manipulated there are plenty of real words available.

The Photoshop trademark must never be used as a common verb or as a noun. The Photoshop trademark should always be capitalized and should never be used in possessive form or as a slang term. It should be used as an adjective to describe the product and should never be used in abbreviated form.
