Preppers and patriots saw this coming, I think. Not to say your point is incorrect though. The U.S. will indirectly send weapons to "peaceful protestors given no other option" trying to overthrow their governments, but if patriots tired to overthrow the corrupt U.S. government then it would be a big-#in-deal.

luckily part of my prepping was to discover my black heritage which I will use to full effect on anyone attempting to unlawfully restrict my movements under god.

Has this guy filed a civil suit against the FBI for doing this yet?

It looks like Mr. Hicks "vacation" in Hawaii is over. He made a few phone calls to some state politicians and now he's off the list.

He mentions nothing in this article about being a prepper, but does say he's been vocal about the 9/11 Commision findings.

Seemingly the only “crime” Hicks has committed that would end in revocation of his ability to fly is his affiliation with the Mississippi Preparedness Project, a prepper organization.

When asked if he thought his affiliation with a prepper group caused him to get detained, Hicks responded, “If it does, that’s a pretty sad situation.”

It also goes on to say this. Again he brings up being in a prepping group. But he also followed a FED (which is likely the cause of it all to begin with).

Hicks revealed to Infowars that a supposed disabled veteran claiming to be a Navy Seal had joined his prepper group earlier in the year, but Hicks felt the man’s story seemed suspicious. Through a Freedom of Information Act request, Hicks learned the man had never been in the military even though he possessed an authentic military ID. Sometime later while out driving, Hicks saw the man’s car and ended up tailing him to a Mississippi Department of Homeland Security branch office where the man parked his car.

Take from it what you will, but following someone is a quick way to get eyes on you. It would be better to just ask them to not come around any longer and leave it at that. Possibly even threaten to use the law against them if they persist on trying to be around you and your friends/family.

every time i read about this crap i just laugh, geee why do they think he is suspicious, well i dont know maybe the fact

1. he looks up some guys credentials through a freedom of information act, who the f does that, i mean really come on, ha

2. maybe cause he followed the guy right to the freakin dhs building, wow what a genius

3. is it really that hard to prepare for things, 90% of anything you would need to learn above basics is in a library/internet, you sign up for some group that takes names and does what, send them to the government because half if not more of those things are frikin run by them to find people like him ha!

4 it was military plane, there could be tons of reasons for him not to fly, maybe he told someone to f off he shouldnt have, did he try to get on another plane, is he under arrest, is he not allowed to fly on commercial planes as well, did he try? maybe hes just on a military red list for telling commander to f off or something ^^

5 why would the government have a list of people in his group, did his group give up the information, did the supposed spy write down everyones name and numbers and addresses , do they maybe hand it in on thier own?

6. why even give a real name if you do join some dumb group, if your just there to learn , whats it to them who the hell you are. unless, you know, theres more to it huh?


7. why didnt they stop him at japan before he even got on a plane to begin with, if hes such a threat and on some red list, im sure they wouldnt have wanted him to go all 9/11 and start whiping out his box cutters on way to hawaii

8. ill bet anything he started a fight with someone higher, or started crap on the plane, flight atendant told captian, he radio'd in , "we got a live one i dont want him on my plane" , and poof that was the end of his flight at next refill

forgot to add, no none of things are illegal to join and you are completely free and should be able to do so with no problems i get that, but theres no sense in being the jackass holding up 25 people on a road going 25 mph slower just because you pay your taxes too! we have a president that basically says f u we can lock up who ever, never ell anyone, nananana poopo.
having that in mind, why put yourself on the radar by putting real name and address on any group sign up sheet, or your real email, so easy to make up 50 emails in an hour

Rest assured, if your on this site, your on a list or two. Maybe not one monitored by humans just yet, but I'm sure that a couple of us are only a buzzword or two away.

Since the terrabyte drive came into general usage there has enough computer memory to keep an encyclopeadia sized database on everybody.

I am all for prepping but I doubt that is all it took. Why would the FEDs infiltrate just a prep per group? Not saying it could not happen but I think we are missing more to this story. Was the group stockpiling weapons and becoming more of a militia?

Talk radio said back in the 1990's, that he FBI and or ATF had infiltrated every militia group in the country. Before 911 there was alot more constitutionalist talk on the radio. I bet alot of militia or just mutual social support groups go back to before 911. And the Goverment could be in all of them.

Why not just ask them to leave the group and leave it at that? Maybe take legal action if they persist.

I don't know if there is more to this dude's story or what. When you read the statement about him happening to see a member's car and following him to a DHS HQ etc. it seems like there may be more than just being a prepper.

BUT, I can tell you that if this happens to you, it's not fun. I know, because it has happened to me and to my husband. Two separate trips, about a year apart.

First one was me with two employees on a business trip. We went all the way to Wyoming, spent 2 days there working, went to the Rock Springs airport and the dude takes my ticket doc and my ID and clicks away a bit and then looks at me funny and goes "hmmm"...keeps clicking away and I finally said, "what?" He said, "You're on a list." I said, "what list?" He answered, "the one you don't want to be on". I said, "what the heck are you talking about?" So he clicks away about 15 more minutes, talks to this other dude, and then tells me that my name was apparently flagged by error. ???

About a year later Springer and I took a vacation to Mexico. We went to Mexico, had our vacation and we're starting back. Same thing happens to Springer. Only this time it's in the Mexican airport and it took him "going in the back room" for a while and I have no idea what all went on before they finally decided the same thing "his name was put on the list by error". How the heck did BOTH of our names get on "a list" by error???

Are any other preppers of the group he attended on a no fly list? If not I wonder what else he was involved with.

It would have been nice if the US Federal government would have given more details as to exactly why this man is not allowed to fly. Was he carrying something which is viewed as dangerous to have on an airplane?

This is why these no-fly list are not as effective as the US Federal government thinks it is. A person could have the potential to be trouble but when they actually board a plane unless they actually have something on them to create a really bad situation, I do not see the problem with allowing them to fly.

Prepping for something and actually doing something are two very different things. If he is prepping for the end of the human global society and he is not trying to being any firearms, explosives or other weapons onto the plane, then it should be no problem to allow him to fly on an airplane.

This is why I am glad I live in Asia. I do not have to put up with crazy no-fly list and the people at the airports are usually very friendly and helpful. For example when I catch a flight out of Tokyo, the security is simply putting your carrying on luggage though a scanner and I only have to walk though a simple metal detector. The only security is private airport security and a few Metro cops floating around. This is usual for almost all airports in Asia.
