I was listening to the Oct 14 edition of The Conspiracy Show. Richard had a guest on who was developing time travel experiments. He claimed that going back in time should be easier than trying to go forward. And he had some bizarre experiments.

What I was wondering is this....

HERE ARE THE RULES - Lets say you could time travel....

..............You got a 1 way ticket back in time,

..............From which there was no return.

..............You couldn't bring anything with you.

..............You could choose how far you wanted to go back...

How far would you go back in time??

1yr, 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100 or more??? And what would you do when you got there? Explain in detail.

And I said I'd go back in time too, so....

No because you could try to pass them off as the next fashion trend.

You'd have to memorize them but you could do that.

This person is wrong....Going forward in time is easier, it has been done many times, it is proven fact.

Every time a person orbits Earth, like in the ISS, for example, they experience this phenomenon. Their clocks show they have traveled in time, although Infinitesimal, it is measurable.

Time Dilation

When we invent (or share) faster methods of space travel, it will be much more measurable.

Man, you already made me time travel! Who said it was impossible.

I was 17, skipping school, at Disney world, I had a cutie tucked under my arm, and the Trammps were performing live:

I would go back approximately 25 years! I would love to re-live my Junior High and High School years. In the meantime, I would make a few investments, then with my riches, I would do some good with all of that money!

I hated that time frame of my life, and I would be interested in knowing if my view of life would be a bit different, if I made a couple of different small changes?

Awesome question!

Rather than go back or forward in time....

hop onto a parallel worldline where things were much much

better than our current mess and you were still very much like you. get it?

graham- wheeler- everett hypothesis.

similar idea used behind the plot to the movie Another Earth

Back on track now.

For me it would be at the time the damn pyramids were built so I can inscribe in them
"You will never guess who built this!"

I cannot begin to tell you how hard I laughed at this post.

I believe I injured a piece of my anatomy having to do with #1.

Ok, I will bite.

Before I left, I would find a specific site as a "time capsule" location. I would research the site carefully to make sure that it had not been disturbed within the last 400 years. I would decide on a specific symbol or design that Iwould designate for this time capsule. I would then compose a letter, hand written and address it to current (probably lesser known) news reporter, detailing the location of the artifact that I will create, and instructions on how to document it's "discovery", and mail it (via snail mail).

I would go back in time 400 years and live alone in the wilderness, probably somewhere in the vicinity of either Belfast, Maine or the Pocomtuc tribe near what is now Agawam, Massachusetts (from where my ancestors hail)

I would spend my "free time" crafting paper and ink, and a ceramic pot in which to store it. and writing down a provable future (modern day) lineage - probably my own, and one that could not have been known 400 years ago.

I would document all that I could remember of this modern world and the events that have occurred in it.

Then....I would "document" the events of December 21, 2012

And then I would laugh, and laugh, and laugh...

I'd go back to 30 years ago, make a lot of money with my current knowledge and invest in Microsoft. (You a lways take your knowledge with you
). i would now be a millionaire and leave the money in a bank account for my present self and so I would get it I would mail a note todday October 17th 2012 to this address I am currently at in the Present... but of course only myself from the past that went back in time would be able to get to the money or my present self would be able to access the account. To make sure that I could leave it in an account for myself I would do the entire transaction through the internet when online banking comes out so they won't get suspicious of my age difference. So tomorrow I should find a letter being delivered here to me with my account information so I can go pull it out of that bank.
HAHAHA Like that one? Yeah I just watched Loopers, so what??

I was thinking the same thing. Heck, I over pack for a weekend trip!

If I could travel back in time, it would be to warn myself not to make some of the mistakes I have!
