I would like to ask all ATS members to help make this travesty go viral and contact the MSM and their elected representatives and Demand I be allowed to fly back to my place of departure which was Travis AFB.

I feel your pain, at least being on the no-fly list. I am on it as well, it is really crazy you are stranded there though.....

Playing devil's advocate here for a second, (also knowing you are looking to make this an issue that gets addressed) can't you just take a boat to see your wife?

I believe its a little late for a boat/ ship at this moment, also to add I gather that a flight was much cheaper and faster for him.

This is assumption but if his wife is in the military then he qualifies for a cheap fight?

I could be wrong because I have no connection to any military sources.

Well not to Japan. I just want to get back to the mainland. So I can work to clear my name. I still have all my credentials including my TWIC card ... that is issued by the TSA that says I passed a background check and I am not a terrorist. I just passed an FBI check for my Enhanced CCW So I can carry in State Government buildings for christ's sake...

I am weighing that option but it's around $2000 and the boat stops in Mexico so ... there is a chance i could have issues there. I am trying to give my 2 senators time to work on a remedy before I ask my wife to go further into debt.

I basically think that you aren't being honest. Sorry.

I know that a few people have had issues with no fly lists, but this case is so extreme is seems either like a massive cockup or... more likely... looking at the groups you associate with, the threads you post and your paranoid mindset (IMO) I'd guess you have a skeleton in your closet you're unwilling to talk about.

That's my instinct here.

All we have is your word, and honestly, based on your threads, you don't seem hugely reliable to me.

OP- I hope you don't mind that I forwarded your story on to people in my ethics class. We just finished debating the TSA and our liberties.

This is a bit unnerving to say the least. I personally believe you deserve the exposure to this that you're seeking and if I could flag this thread more than once to help garner some exposure I would.

The fact that you're an American citizen should grant you the purpose for being placed on the No-Fly list (which I don't think it takes a genius to figure out based on your affiliations) but, to add insult to injury you're the spouse of a Naval Officer (stationed overseas no less), were screened with the initial flight, and you're not a criminal.

So this is what I would propose, since you've been deemed such a threat by whomever, being that they've determined you to be a risk on any flight, and because they neglected to make you aware (allegedly in error) of this before you boarded the first flight and reached your current destination thus forcing you to now be stranded...

...then they (those whom have deemed you such a risk) should foot the bill to provide you with an escort (of their choosing) to accompany you on a plane to either your intended destination or back to where you departed from originally until the particulars and legalities can be sorted out, since they're so worried about what you could do.

This is a travesty on your (or any American's) rights no matter how you slice it imho.

Dude that really sucks....next I guess they will be coming for me and alot of my friends, mostly retired and decorated Veterns.

I would casually walk down to an attorneys office and ask them to file a civil lawsuit against the agency that has detained you for violation of your Constitutional right to travel and your right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness(they can tack on what ever else they think the agency is in violation of) and ask them to put the biggest number they are capable of conceiving in the dollar amount. We all know it isn't going to go anywhere but such a lawsuit could not be ignored by the media and your story will be out. It might even force them to expedite your return to the mainland and settle with a little cash in your pocket for your trouble(lost monies in airfare, lodging, hardship, etc.)

It's sad there are so few comments, so I guess I'll get the ball rolling. Sorry if these questions were already answered,

Is your wife with you? Is she also on a no fly list? Can she help you because of her navy status?
Can you tell us why they picked you? Was it your wife's position? Your tea party affiliation? Or other?
Have you contacted a lawyer? Have you contacted ACLU? Infowars? The nightly news?
Do you plan on pressing charges?
Do you have kids?
Do you have any money to support yourself while stranded?
