Man claims he saw two UFOs at Collaroy (Sydney)

Brett Vollus, who lives in a unit overlooking Collaroy, saw purple and blue lights above the ocean at 5am.

"I thought 'that's a bright star'," he said.

He zoomed in with his iPhone and saw what looked like two objects travelling around each other.

``I thought it was a helicopter but it wasn't making a sound,'' he said. ``It looked like something out of this world.



``They were moving in and out of each other and the lights were really bright.'' Mr Vollus said he watched the spectacle for about 40mins before they ``just disappeared''. ``I was quite freaked out after,'' he said.

The President of UFO Research (NSW), Mariana Flynn said they had no UFO sighting reports called in today.

I have seen some interesting un-explained lights up here as well ( North of Sydney)

Hmm,not really much info in the article. And I can't really tell what they are other then just lights.I'm off to do more research then I shall return with my thoughts

What is that smoke trail looking thing in the pics? Kinda resembles a rocket???

You wont find any rockets fired round these parts.

Nearest RAAF bases are way west of Sydney at Richmond.

Northerly at Williamstown, north of Newcastle.

mmmmm I don't know... the pictures seems to have been rotated in some shots. Seems to be the same picture that has been cropped and zoomed in.

To me it looks like pictures of headlights from a car at a distance.

I'm no expert, this is just my humble opinion.

EDA: The only picture that looks different, to me, is the first one...

I can't see where it looks like it is over the ocean (as he states). If anything, in a couple of the photos, it looks like trees behind the lights.....and the lights themselves almost look as if they are on a pole. I'll run em thro photoshop when I get home and check em.

That looks a bit like a sulphurous smoke trail, maybe somebody sank!

Look like street lights/lamps and glare to me. Not sure how we are supposed to take anything of value from these pictures. What is there to love about these pictures?
