Looks like the FSA finally received some help to defend against the Air Assault from Assad. The video is said to have been filmed in Maarat al-Numan where rebel fighter told the Guardian a helicopter had been shot down as per NYT. I would predict until December 2012 before Assad is toppled.

Pilot was doing good, until it exploded.

Something different between watching hollywood produced explosions and the real thing. I dont get the same thrill as if i was watching a movie.

I think this is a good thing as i have not completely de-sensitized myself to reality.

One down, plenty more to go.
If only they had such skill when targeting Assad's planes.

That looked very similar to the old style helicopters they use here at a private airport for some type of military training.

Every time I see those helicopters im like wtf. I've seen black ops copters at the airport also. That was quite the explosion that thing let off.

I wonder if that's the one that collided with the Airbus, and the rebels claimed to have shot down.

Why post this? To gawk at death?

Seriously, an explosion gets its own ATS thread?

Or is it that you side with the Islamic extremists?

RIP Pilot.

To answer your question. Yes and No. The 2nd link has the related news as per how it could have been brought down which is about the types of weapons and the tactics used by the rebels. Its a discussion forum so you can discuss further if you believe what you read or see the video clip.

I guess Russia owes them an apology and a refund on the repair and refurbishing job they were contracted to do.
