Green Party candidate arrested outside debate site
Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein and running mate Cheri Honkala were arrested outside Long Island’s Hofstra University ahead of tonight’s debate.

After being denied entrance to the campus because they lacked credentials, the two candidates sat down in the street in front of the university with an American flag on their laps, the Long Island Report explains. They were led away by police officers after refusing to move.

Is this what it comes down to in America? There is no room for this woman to have a voice? What are they afraid of? That she, like Gary Johnson, might take away some votes from the corporate puppets that the media chose for us? That if given the chance, Americans might actually vote on a candidate based on their ideas instead of, gasp, skin color? Do we as Americans arrest those now that choose to exercise their 1st amendment right to have a voice? A presidential candidate that has earned her right to speak at these debates is instead arrested in the streets America.

The voice has been taken away from the people of this country. Stop playing their game.

Agree.

The reason they were arrested?

Campaign manager Ben Manski told the Politico website that they did not intend to disrupt the debate but wanted to talk to reporters about the nonpartisan Commission on Presidential Debates' requirement that each candidate garner at least 15 percent in national polls to be admitted to the debates.
