anyone buying that answer?

The gas price when he took office was at an artificial low. It tanked along with the rest of the economy.

See for yourself.

Wall St. speculators set the gas prices. Period.

Obama knows this but he's got to pitch against Romney, just like Romney as to try and pitch against Obama. Anyone that doesn't understand that the Bush Administration - when they got the GOP led Congress - tied the price of gas to the commodities' market, then they won't believe the specifics on that fact anyway.

He getting back at Biden...seems he can play that game too, and not so crude and simple as Biden's though.

The only problem is that it looks just as bad in voters eyes.

He almost verbatim said that the gas was so cheap because the economy was in the tank????

yes, that is exactly what he said and that is exactly what happened

Romney is a top down economic thinker, and Obama is a bottom up economic thinker.

Both are wrong and both are lowly KEYNESIANS. This won't work Gentlemen

Well this cinches it for me...they are both massive d-bags. It's almost too ridiculous to watch...but I have been. Had to take a break before I threw something at the TV...and I don't like either of these guys! The lies and the twisting of things had my blood pressure up and it's only 30 minutes in!

Both have scored...if you can call it that. From a third party point of view...they both are blowing hot air.

Um, getting back at Biden? Romney acted like a jerk in the first debate talking over moderators and not following rules.

If anything Biden was getting back at Romney.

It's funny how the right wing just seems to erase the history they don't like.

I really wish Obama knew the ins and outs of supply and demand. If he did, he could wipe the floor with Romney.

But they both just don't get it.

I'm checking focus group responses on multiple channels.

They flat line when Romney talks and they are spiking with Obama.

No They Dont

The global market dictates the price of crude the price at the pump is dictated by local, state and federal goverments.

which is why no county in the world pays the same price at the pump, and no state from east coast to west coast pays the same price at the pump.

Meh

No not buying it at all..

More like.because POTUS wants the prices.high
to force americans into using less gas and stop* global warming

Doesn't he want $8 plus to force change in America...so to him they are rock bottom...

Global warming stopped 16 years ago, reveals Met Office report quietly released... and here is the chart to prove it
THATS IS exactly what he wants.... The planet has not been.warming for.over 16 years.

Preacher, Obama, so outdated...

I have had it with this guy talking to me like a child...

Not to mention everything he just preached about, was the same recycled bullcrap, he preached 4 years ago.. Whatever taxes he has cut, I have not seen em...

Easy way to figure out who to try out man..

Reagan said it best..

ARE you better off today then you were 4 years ago...

Obama, is preaching like a preacher...

Actually, I'm not minding Crowley as much as I thought I would.

She was forewarned that her biasness would not be tolerated. Romney seems a little frenetic tonight. He needs to come across a tad more relaxed and as if he is enjoying the audience.

from a strictly cosmetic point of view, i think romney is by far the more polished perfomer here. a much more measured delivery than obama, who is radiating (slight) desperation.
