He reckons all he did was get into computers which had no passwords on their networks.
He just typed in "admin admin"and got in that way.

Into some so called "secure" NASA and DOD networks.

He also claims there were dozens of other uninvited folks on these networks,from all sorts of countries.

The US should be more worried about real enemy countries doing real damage if they go round letting their employees run open networks with no passwords for cryin out loud...

Gary could be said to have done them a favor in alerlting them to their unsecured networks IMO.

Exactly and I'd love to trust him completely but in that situation you really are going to make yourself look as innocent as possible right? Are america really that stupid? And Yeah the thing about there being other hackers from all over the world on there at the same time is interesting, especially since it was the time difference that got him caught. If this is true then surely the admins would have been aware of them too? And then, if so, why did they single out gary?

And what if, after all this, he actually did hack into their computers, caused all the $700,000 of damage, and Then found nothing? He sure wouldn't admit that too quickly
